i think he can't NOT be the way he is given how he grew up. imagining him growing up in a normal family is impossible because we know next to nothing about who he is as a person outside the togami name and heir position. Which is extremely sad tbh

Honestly yeah, his entire personality along with him being socially awkward is just a trauma response to everything he went through. The idea mainly came up when me and my friend were talking about what if Byakuya wasn't an antagonist but instead a helper and that's the thought that came up in my mind. Him being a shy person who just avoids everyone cause that was his safe space, rather than talking to anyone. my poor guy
