Kurumi’s voice cracked just a bit as she stammered out a response. She wasn’t prepared for this at all, but she felt like she was going to burst from happiness. 

“T-...th-thank you...” Her blush only intensified with Shiori’s compliments. “I’m just a fraction as cute as you though...” 

It really did just feel ‘right.’ She felt like this was where they were supposed to be. Standing hand in hand, together...

“Y-yes.” She nodded in understanding and gave a wide smile, unable to contain her excitement and joy. “Absolutely! I’m not going to jeopardize your dreams. I don’t think it’s selfish at all. I want to make those dreams come true.” 

“You just... made me so happy. I can’t find the words...”

She really shouldn’t be so surprised after her sister explained it to her. But for some reason, hearing it was completely different. She had worked out what she was going to say earlier…What was it? What was it???

“W-well…I,”Should not run. She should definitely not run, even though she was already stepping to leave. She could probably make it to the stairs even if Kururu tried to catch her. Realizing that train of thought, she grabbed onto the wall tightly. She wasn’t going to hurt Kurumi by running away.

Kurumi couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She was entirely expecting a flat “no” or for Shiori to run off the roof at speeds unheard of. But instead, she was telling her that she was willing to give it a chance, and that she thought she liked her too. She was stunned.

“S-shicchi...” 

Her hand returned to the clefairy charm around her neck as she attempted to gather a few words. 

“Shicchi... See? You’re so passionate about your dreams and your friends... You’re so strong! I-I promise I won’t let this ruin either!”

Kurumi shakily took a step forward and took Shiori’s hand into her own. A determined fire was alight in her eyes. She cared too much about Shiori and Dusk to ruin their dreams, there was no way that would happen.

“We can keep it secret...but I don’t want to come between you and your dream. I just want to stay with you...”

She gulped down her nervousness again, desperately looking for more words she could say.

“You know... When I first started this idol thing... I was just doing it because it seemed fun and I thought it was cute... I didn’t have much cute girly things I could do in my life so I thought ‘why not?’ But now... After spending so much time with you and Dusk... I have a new reason to continue... I want to help you guys realize your dreams... I love you guys so much a-and...”

“I... want to make you happy!”

“Yeah….” She looked back up at her beloved stars, and focused her attention on staying still. She didn’t want to seem impatient, especially since Kururu seemed nervous too. She could feel the urge to run away. That urge has been happening quite a bit over the past couple of months. She couldn’t help occasionally glancing over at the other girl.

“I LIKE STARS TOO!”

Shiori pivoted when she heard her friend’s voice, hair floating out behind her and catching the moonlight. It was a controlled, well practiced move of hers

“Good evening, Kururu,”She greeted back,”We should probably talk, and I couldn’t think of a better place than up here!” In an uncharacteristic bout of energy, she twirled a few feet of where she had been,”When you’re this close to the stars, everything seems so free~ Doesn’t it?”

She stomped down her own nervousness as she continued,“I figured that up here we could also feel free to talk openly…Without fear, embarrassment, or judgement…Was I wrong?”

WHY WAS THIS GIRL SO GOOD AT TAKING HER BREATH AWAY?

Kurumi tried to slow her heartrate back down, despite her crush speaking so passionately about the stars. When Shiori acted like this, she always made Kurumi tongue tied.

“It is really beautiful, isn’t it?” Kurumi replied, thankful for the moment to try to push aside her nervousness. Without fear, embarrassment or judgement? This... this was it...

“Shicchi... I uh...” She began, playing with the little clefairy charm she had on her necklace. “I-...”

To be honest the only reason she chose the roof was because it was close to the sky, and she felt they have an easier time talking there. She fidgeted with the end of her headband absently. It was probably a joke like Kururu said…But…It would be rude not to make sure.

“Hey there Shicchi, h-how’s it goin’?”

Kurumi greeted the bluenette as she stepped onto the roof with a nervous smile. She was internally screaming, why did she send that message? Didn’t Dusk like Shiori too? This wouldn’t drive a wedge between them as a unit, would it? Well, to be fair, Kurumi had only assumed this, maybe she was just paranoid...

“What did you want?”
