Feeling Light
As I’ve overstayed my welcome at my friend’s family’s house, I held a lot of anxiety and stress. I was convinced I wouldn’t ever be able to find my own place and that I would potentially have no where to go. But now, as I’m packing and my moving date nears, I no longer feel the weight of the world on my shoulders. I am not anxious about assimilating to a new lifestyle, or finding a job. Instead, I am looking forward to the opportunities the city holds, the new friends I’ll make, and finally having my own space to do anything I wish. I am also relieved that there is less tension within the family now that I have somewhere to go. I am so truly relieved, thankful, and excited for my new beginning.Â
