The State of the World
What is the state of the world? or the right question is the state of the people in the world? When we say world, should we really be pointing at the physical ground we are living in? As i've said on my first blog i can see that Earth is not the one who's actually dying.. it is us, the inhabitants, are the ones dying. Earth has been here for if not billions, hundreds of trillions of years. What we are really concern about is the condition of living in the world.
As cited in the book of the State of the World 2010: Transforming Cultures, we are using far more than the earth could give. I've never been good great with numbers or figures but the facts that this book is giving is already a slap to the face of it's inhabitants. That if we demand more than the supply could give we might eventually speed up our own doom.
