Could i request a 9th member fem!reader fic about the spring check-up day skz code. Like when the reader wakes up from anesthesia she just instantly starts crying and saying how much she loves and appreciates the members
Thank you so much for the request, and I’m so sorry it took so long to get it out! I hope you enjoy! I’m a bit rusty, so I’m so sorry if it’s not up to par. 🖤

It was the day of filming for the health checkup episodes of SKZCODE. You couldn’t lie–you were a bit nervous just because you weren’t sure what to expect. What made it even more nerve wracking was that this would be your first time getting an endoscopy or being put under anesthesia, and it would all be filmed.
The boys did their best to reassure you that everything would be okay. They’d had these done before and it was no big deal! At least, that’s what they told you. Even though they seemed sure, it didn’t help to calm your nerves much.
Most of the day was quite easy. There were vitals checks, height and weight, blood tests, vision and hearing tests, an xray, and an ultrasound. Then came time to prepare for the endoscopy.
“We need to drink these!” Hyunjin said, holding a tray with what looked like tubes of yogurt on it. He took one and passed the tray around, each of you taking one of the items. “Mmm, it tastes good!” Hyunjin said, already finished with his.
You tore the corner of the tube to open it and looked over to Chris apprehensively. He smiled warmly and nodded, tapping his tube against yours in a cheers before he drank his.
Hesitantly, you licked the corner of the tube where a drop had spilled out, and much to your surprise, it really didn’t taste bad. You finished it quickly and watched as Hyunjin went back to get an IV placed in preparation.
“It’s really not that big of a deal. I promise. You go to sleep and before you know it, you’re done and don’t even notice they’ve done anything.” Seungmin reassured you, watching as your leg bounced with nervousness.
One by one you watched the boys go back to get their IVs, get sedated for the endoscopy, and return to the waiting room either passed out or extremely groggy. Seungmin, being the usual menace that he was, moved from area to area, unable to sit still while he had to wait for everyone else, leaving you alone as the last member to go.
After a few minutes, your name was called, and you walked over to get the IV inserted. It didn’t bother you one bit, having had to get them placed before.
“Okay, you can go ahead into the endoscopy room now,” the nurse led you over to the room, ushering you inside.
The whole process was pretty quick, the nurse and doctor only taking a few moments to get set up before you were being asked to count.
A soft groan left your lips as you started to come around, shifting slightly on the firm hospital bed. It was so hard to open your eyes, and you could hear faint voices, though it sounded like they were far away. You tried to speak, but all that came out was a soft mumble.
“Y/n-ie~ Can you open your eyes?” There were gentle fingers brushing hair out of your face. It felt like it took all of the strength you had to crack your eyes open slightly, seeing Chris standing beside the bed you were laying on. “There she is.” He dropped his hand to your shoulder.
“Over?” You managed to ask, reverting back to English.
“It’s over. You’ve just gotta wake up now.”
Everything felt so strange. It was like you were awake and asleep at the same time. You could hear your members around you, you could feel Chris’ hand on your shoulder. But it felt like you were unable to move or talk properly, and there was something bubbling up in your chest and throat, quickly overwhelming you. Tears started spilling from your barely opened eyes.
“Is–is she crying?” Changbin asked, concerned.
Everyone’s attention turned to you as you hiccuped and sniffled.
“What’s wrong, y/n? Are you okay? Why are you crying?” Chris asked frantically. You were still unable to form a full sentence as you tried to blink the tears away.
“Some people have this kind of reaction to the anesthesia. Some are fine, some get sick, and others get very emotional from it. She should calm down as it wears off.” The nurse who was taking your IV out explained.
You managed to turn on your side, the tears now falling onto the thin hospital mattress. Chris watched you affectionately, moving to gently rub your back, dabbing at your tears with the hem of his shirt.
“You’re okay. You get to eat as soon as you wake up! It’s yummy porridge!” Changbin said, trying to help calm you.
“Yeah, and then they said after we eat, we get to take a nap. Won’t that be nice?” Felix added.
You sat up slowly, Chris’ hand on your back to help steady you, and wiped at your tears, though new ones were still falling.
“Aw, come here, lovey,” Chris wrapped his arms around you, gently guiding your head to fit under his chin and into the crook of his neck. His hand continued to rub up and down your back, doing his best to comfort you.
“I–“ you started, hiccuping again as tears continued to roll down your cheeks.
“You what?” Changbin asked, watching you with an endearing smile.
“I l-love you guys. So much. I r-really do.”
Eight pairs of eyes softened at your words, each of the members moving closer to you.
“Y/n,” Minho murmured, placing a hand on your shoulder.
“No, really. I love you all. Even when you’re being stupid. Or annoying. Or too loud. Or when you come back from the gym and you’re smelly.”
Quiet chuckles left the boys’ lips as they listened, letting you get everything out without interruptions.
“You’ll all stay with me forever, won’t you?” You asked in a small voice, lifting your head from Chris’ neck to look around at each of them.
“Of course we will, y/n,” Felix replied. The other nodded in agreement.
“We’re a family. We’ll always be together.” Hyunjin added.
You nodded at this, pleased with the response you got and lay back down, sighing deeply. “Tired.” You breathed, eyes once again having trouble staying open, lids getting heavier by the second.
“Sleep. We’ll still be here when you wake up.” Chris promised.
With that you closed your eyes, quickly falling asleep once again, the remnants of the anesthesia in your system taking over.
