I know the background story is revealed and such, but I was wondering about the symbolism with the other characters. Did characters like the Sphinx and Nutcracker or etc. hold something in Cat's memory?

the sphinx and the nutcracker probably hold some significance to cat’s childhood (we’ll never know!), but honestly a lot of the characters were more intended to create to a colorful, but unsettling atmosphere. the sphinx’s design was based around a clash between eastern and western cultures (a kimono and a ram’s head) to give the effect that something’s not quite right. the nutcracker is there because jpg is afraid of nutcrackers.

Is the basement in the house intentionally meant to be shaped like a uterus? Because I'm making a floorplan of the house for my Sims game and it kinda looks similar... If it's intentional then you guys are clever bastards. I love this game ;-;

Hello, I'm a player come from Taiwan. Want to buy your game on Steam, but it's changed the dollars to our country's currency, NT. It's upset that I couldn't buy the "Stray Cat Crossing" with the currency I can use now, still waiting for your update of the rate exchange. PS. LOVE THE ART STYLE OF YOUR GAME !!! :)

SCC is great. Do J&J have any other projects they're working on? I and I'm sure others, would very much be interested in viewing it. Also, what would you guys recommend checking out if a fan found SCC to be refreshing? ( I'd recommend 'Close Your Eyes' for a dose of rpg/horror)

aside from scc, we’re not very active, but maybe someday soon we’ll start working on something new!

if u liked scc, .flow is my favorite rpgmaker game and i’d recommend it 100%. also, maybe zelda games? especially majora’s mask, which was a huge influence, especially in tone and dialogue.

hi!!! i love your game so much! i was wondering what the inspiration for the copy for baby face. they talk in such a strange and rhyme-y way : D

so babyface was originally meant to be a monster that stole people’s bodies by taking over their faces. i thought if a monster with those powers was stuck in a room for a long time with 2 bodies, it would just talk with itself, alternating between bodies and pretending to be 2 people having a conversation.

the rhyming (besides me wanting every character to speak in a unique way) is bc i thought it was a good way to convey that even if babyface pretends to be two people, in the end it’s still just talking to itself and scripting what both people are saying. how sad! -jurlo

Hi! I saw the trailer for Stray Cat Crossing, and I thought the caterpillar with the Japanese pale mask was pretty cool. But I also saw what looked like a Korean clown mask, and I wanted to ask if it was.

You say there is an "update" that makes the chase scene easier, but how do I get/download the update? I don't see any link or option to do this. I just paid for the game on Steam and that scene is impossible, I'm very curious about the rest of the game but if there's no way past this scene I'll just have to ask for a refund...

Steam should automatically have updated the game unless you have changed Steam settings. Check the current content BuildID by right-clicking on the game in Steam, then go to “Properties”, then “Local Files”. The latest BuildID is 782532. If you don’t have this BuildID, then your local copy has not yet been updated, so you will need to do so.

The changes were small but made certain bottlenecks in the hallway chase easier. If your game files are updated and you are still experiencing difficulty, then we will release another update.
