The amount of alcohol Vincent started drink went beyond his usual limits, more so than the dealership owner knew. It worried him. The nightmares and the stress with Katherine added to his friend’s stress levels, plus the high death rate skipping recently did not quell anyone’s fears. Jonny took to studying these strange nightmares as a side hobby, attempting to decipher and understand what exactly was going; logical and grounded even he admitted there was something far too abnormal about what was going on.
“Starting a healthy habit might help but an end to the nightmares. Or at least calm you down.” He pointed out, casually. ”Tea can do amazing things, Vincent.”
Jonny paused. “… I don’t know. But it’s worth a shot, isn’t it? Besides, at least one of us will be up early to wake the other just incase.”
[A healthy habit, huh...? Would the nightmares really just...stop if
he started behaving as though he was conscious of his own well-
being? Jonny was correct that it was a possibility, but whether it
would actually work was another matter entirely...a change of diet
that included some obscure health tea felt as fallible as sleeping
at another’s house to attempt to avoid the nightmares. Jesus, this
might as well be hopeless...every night was a struggle to survive,
bizarre as it might sound to anyone else, and sometimes...Vince
wondered if it’d be more sane to end them by dying.]
[With another dejected sigh, he sipped the cocktail beside him, a
slight warmth running through his body with every gulp he took. It
was bizarrely comforting...another way that alcoholic beverages
eased his mind, on occasion. Lately, his daily stress was far too
much for alcohol to handle.]
...Maybe you’re right, but...I don’t think tea would do that much.
The nightmares just feel...unavoidable. Like, no matter what I do,
I’ll have to endure them every night...it’s exhausting.
[Jonny’s final remark did instill him with a bit of hope, however;
although he wasn’t certain whether it was possible to wake in the
middle of these nightmares, it...might be worth a shot. Then again,
Jonny sounded as though he was offering to keep watch, but...that
would be a huge burden. Vincent didn’t need any of his friends to
lose sleep for his sake.]
That’s an idea...but I’m sure it’d be a hassle. I’m sure I’m already
stressing you guys out enough with my whining, haha...
