Sabotencon: My Big Debut(A post-con journal)

Sabotencon 2016 has come and gone, and here is my text post about the entire experience. TLDR before the cut: I won a Judge’s Award during the masquerade at Sabotencon, and the Quiz Quest Undertale panel was a huge success, with the attendants being able to finish the game! I will go into MUCH more detail under the cut!

Hey There Quiz Quest Fans!

We are proud to announce Quiz Quest: Undertale will be making an appearance at Saboten-Con 2016 in Phoenix, AZ! It’s being held in Camelback Room B, Friday the 2nd, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. 

For those not in the know, Quiz Quest: Undertale is the first cooperative trivia video game specifically geared towards conventions! Grab a friend, grab an enemy, grab a stranger, and show up to compete for fabulous prizes and the glory of being a big, giant nerd in front of all these people. Nobody leaves empty handed. Satisfaction guaranteed. If we’re not the most fun you’ve had this convention, we’ll give you your panel entry fee of $0.00 back.

We have a longer panel this time! Maybe this will be the first time the game gets finished in it’s entirety. We believe in you guys and absolutely cannot wait to do this again for everyone.

Thank you all for making Quiz Quest: Undertale a success!

Thank you everybody. Thank you Fanime 2016. Because of you we got close to ONE HUNDRED people attending Fanime’s first ever cooperative quiz video game. That is an incredible number for a first appearance and we hope you liked it as much as we loved putting it on for you.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for attending, participating, and for all the kind words before, during, and after the game. You fought bravely and were rewarded for your efforts. 

This is not the end of Quiz Quest. We’re applying to bring it to Saboten-Con 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. September 2-5th. This time we’re applying for a 2 hour timeslot in an effort to allow more time to finish the fantastic adventure out of the underground.

We’re glad you could make it! Thanks for coming and playing with us! Our wonderful Mettaton host is @pickleinspector As of right now we don’t have any big plans to release the game as it is now to the public. If we did it would need a complete rewrite as it’s meant as a convention panel experience and not even a little bit ready for party game use. This game is held together with bubble gum, twine, and the collective dreams of everyone on the team. We hope you can come by and try it again next year!

Quiz Quest: Undertale Fanime Panel

FanimeCon 2016 is about a week away! We wanted to show off some of the work we’ve done on our head-to-head quiz game panel! 

This is Fanime’s first tailor made, two player video game panel. Prove you really do know it all and help your team towards victory! Everyone who attends wins something, no Undertale knowledge is needed to have fun. We want as many people as possible to show up for the fun so bother your friends. Change your plans. Drag people in that you don’t even know!

We don’t care how, just come play video games with us!
