The Gel Mai was introduced in the late 1990s. It was the first model to not feature the signature tiger stripes on the upper, instead they opted to put it on the midsole. The Mai has a one piece bootie upper and comes with a asymmetrical lacing system.

If you're not aware by now the Legends Day Pack by Ronnie Fieg released on 11/22 and it consists of four different shoes. Two of the silhouettes are Gel-Lyte 3.1s and the other two are the Gel Mai which is being reintroduced to a brand new audience. The color palettes are Militia and Salmon. August 18 is officially NMD day. Adidas is releasing 19 NMDs on the date including men and women. The release consists of both the classic model and the NMD XR1 model. Be on the lookout for these at your local three stripes retailers.
