Shit is getting real, you know?
I’m definitely gravitating towards roles with substance, and roles that feel honest. Having played a supernatural character for nearly 10 years, I’m excited to try and focus on smaller scale, grounded projects. Projects that hopefully can inspire and start conversations, and projects that convey humans as what they are: complicated, flawed, resistant.
Important things to take away from Darcy’s character.
She has not seen her husband in months/years in most of her verses. She doesn’t talk about him much, except to their son, and tends to tense up / close in when people ask about him.
Her son’s name is Jacob but you’ll only ever hear her call him Jake. He is always with her because of the fact she was separated from her husband. It’s the only way she feels she can completely stop that from happening to them.
Darcy suffers from postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety and they are often reflected in outbursts of anger.
