Rick isn’t really sure how to handle the sight in front of him. He blinks after a moment, Carol was taking this damsel in distress act too seriously. He watches her package cookies neatly into plastic wrap to hand out. He shakes his head. “You really think this is the way to win these people over? Pretend to go along with their Christmas celebrations?  This is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever seen. These people have to understand that”

Carol smiles with a glimpse towards their leader as she prepares the sugar cookies she had, in their life before all this, learned to create so delicately.. Shortbread cookies.. Little trees, stars and wreathes.. There were even a few that were gingerbread men in disguise! 

“Of course, Rick... What would you think..?” She smiles as she almost delicately sprinkles some flour over the counter top before rolling over the dough with a huff, “There’s a lot for them to understand.. Think they’ll understand it without some terrifying realization of what it’s like out there...? That day might not come soon but..--  Rick... These people haven’t even seen what we’ve seen... What we need is for them to trust us.. Even if it’s some trust to come from innocent actions like this.. Don’t you see?”
