Concept for a âPredatorâ movie:
A semi-reimagining of the first Predator movie (not a total remake, but definitely taking after the 1st movie). Set during the Iraq War, the movie follows a platoon of Navy SEALs sent in to assist the Marines on a joint operation. What was supposed to be a straightforward operation turns bizarre when the platoon realizes that the insurgents in the area have suddenly disappeared. It doesnât help that when they investigate one of the insurgentsâ bases, they realize that something had picked them off one by one. SomethingâŚnot of this world.
And now, whatever it was that took out the insurgents is coming after themâŚ
1) Peter Claffey as the main protagonist aka new Dutch Schaefer (either he does an American accent or, as a meta reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger, he keeps his Irish accent and the movie never questions this)
2) May Calamawy as a civilian who was forced to join forces with the SEALs after encountering the Predator (so sheâs the deuteragonist, also considering that sheâs based on Anna Gonsalves)
3) Wilson Bethel as the badass second-in-command
4) Ben Wang as the one who believes in conspiracy theories and is the first one to theorize that theyâre being stalked by an alien
5) Tyriq Withers as the skeptic who thinks Ben Wang is just bullshitting the team about his conspiracy theories
6) Aramis Knight as the new guy who is trying to prove himself
7) Mason Gooding as the one suffering from PTSD
8) WWE's Jey Uso plays the cool guy who is seemingly unfazed by the war (but obviously not by the Predator)
9) Austin Abrams as the comic relief guy who dies first
10) Dar Salim as the teamâs Iraqi interpreter
