We're So Back (DashCon 2 in 2026)
Today, (as per tumblr user @dashconhellpit), is day 101 post DashCon 2. How time flies! We thought that today would be the perfect time to answer your most burning of questions.
2026 DashCon 2 will take place for two days from August 1-2, 2026.
We debated switching venues and scaling up in a big way for 2027, but we were cautious of expanding too much, too quickly. Ultimately, we decided on a compromise. We’ll be slightly increasing the number of available tickets and extending the duration from one to two days.
The theme will be announced next week, and we’ll put the name up to a public poll!
We’re happy to once again be working with the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, and we’ll be expanding our rental to accommodate more guests. We also won’t have a massive inflatable taking up most of the stage room, so mobility should be easier.
Will there be another Duel?
Unlikely, as we are all still reeling from the tragic loss of the Muppet Joker (you would not believe our insurance premiums). However, we will have some Big Event™ to unite us all - we just have to test the feasibility of all the ideas we have >:)
Thank you for all the feedback you gave about convention accessibility! We hope to deliver an even better experience next year. To give you a general idea of how we’re improving, we’ve compiled a list of some of the feedback points we’re addressing.
(This isn’t all the feedback we got, just some big things that we want to highlight!)
2026 DashCon 2 ‘Patch Notes’
Stricter enforcement of quiet in the quiet room (we are looking into finding a more soundproofed space + dimming the lights)
Switching to a print-on-demand company for merch, so shipping will be timely and much more secure
Merch will continue be sold on-site, so you can skip shipping :)
And we’ll have a lot more of it on hand!
The Crow Exchange will have a larger, dedicated space and run for longer
More chairs everywhere (e.g. outside panel rooms for lines, watching the stage)
For the benefit of vendors, the Vendor’s Hall will be closed for a mid-day break, and the Hall’s opening hours will be reduced
We’ll also dedicate more time to spotlighting artists as part of the lead-up to 2026 DashCon 2
Oh yeah - how long are VODs for sale?
As DashCon 2 was hosted in 2025, VODs will be available for sale on Zeffy until Dec 31st, 2025.
We have a long list of people we’re hoping to invite, and we’ll announce them if any of them say yes. One thing to note is that we will have a dedicated Meet & Greet spot, so if you want to have a short chat with or give a little trinket to a special guest, you’ll have a formal occasion to do so.
Do not ask Dan and Phil to come to DashCon 2. I know you want to. They will say no.
However, the subject of special guests leads us to our final announcement. We have a brand new sponsor to introduce to you all…
DashCon 2 is proudly sponsored by Strange Aeons.
