Reaper eyeing a reader who is romantically involved with McCree in a protective father kind of way?

Reaper, whether it was for his aesthetic or just because of his plain stubborness, did not want anything to do with the fact that he was feeling protective over you. He knew it wouldn’t bode well for either of you, especially when what he was concerned about was your romantic relationship, of all things. As he observed you with McCree, he knew he should feel happy, if even that, over the relationship, but mostly he felt the foreboding concern of a father. McCree was an…energetic...soldier, to say the least, especially during the Blackwatch days, and really, he was just concerned about what could happen with that type of energy around you constantly. At least, that was what Reaper told himself. Deep in his gut he was afraid that you could get hurt easily around McCree. It was a safe assumption for him; he had, after all, personally trained and worked with McCree to the point where he considered him family, as much as he hated to admit it. Or was, anyways. But as much as Reaper tried to not care for your relationship, it was still hard to ignore McCree’s instinct of self preservation, and even though that was beat out of him during Blackwatch days, it was still a concern for Reaper because of how long McCree had been working by himself. What if something happened and McCree bailed, leaving you behind? Even if it was by accident, maybe momentarily forgetting you were also in the heat of battle? Just thinking about that made him want to walk over to where you were with McCree and give him a serious talking to. From the darkness, he watched as McCree kept you laughing and smiling, and thought better of it. He didn’t have the right to judge McCree after the fall of Overwatch, and he certainly had no say in your private life, and Reaper knew that better than anyone. Even spying on you made him feel dirty, and without the weak reason of a comrade looking over another comrade, he wouldn’t even be there. With one last look, Reaper dissipated into the day, bent on forgetting his concerns for you.
