Charm updates: PART TWO: electric boogaloo

Hey y'all, Zilly here with another charm shipment update!

It's good new bad news time, but I'd like to emphasize the most important thing: the charms are not lost, they're still on the way!

And for those of you who are familiar with me, this is not my first merch rodeo. This is, however, a first for me with hitting numerous bumps along the way with USPS.

The majority of shipments started showing "In transit, arriving late", and hadn't been updated a while. I gave them a bit over two weeks, seeing as that was the approximate expectation for delays since I last spoke to my local office.

However, those weeks passed without any change, so yesterday I called USPS. A manager took a look into it, gave me a call back last night, and informed me that my packages had not yet left the first distribution facility. They've been having issues with their tracking service, and they'd been incorrectly marked as in-transit.

Which, honestly, I'm just glad they weren't lost! A few peeks into some subreddits show there's a bit more chaos with USPS than I had thought. But as of today, I checked and saw that statuses have been updated back to just "In-transit", and they've moved to a few different facilities now.

I understand not everyone who bought charms is familiar with my track record, and would appreciate some reassurance--and I thankfully took a photo of the box-o-charms when I was about 3/4th's the way done packing them. I have no need for so many silly boys in one house--I promise, they are coming!

Weighing in on the Moon Knight and Dissociative identity disorder conversation. I’ve only watched up to episode 4 bc it was a lot and I need a mental break before returning to it.

To some people with DID it probably won’t be too relatable but for me/us personally I think it’s a little too relatable in some regards but clearly the stakes are a bit higher.

I’m sure if a part of mine were playing vigilante for some egyptian gods when I wasn’t around it wouldn’t look all that much different…

But alas my parts have only turned up to be roleplaying or making vent art on accounts I didn’t even know existed. Which is preferable clearly, ‘blacking out’ and missing large portions of your life is never fun. 🫤 Our episodes like that personally tend to be more brief or they used to before we managed to increase our communication to the point we are now which is like little to no time loss other than to general dissociation where no one is completely grounded in awareness.

I think the mirror thing is an interesting way of showing communication, I can’t really ‘see’ my alters in or out of headspace so I am a bit of an outlier on that note to begin with so I guess he’d be considered the opposite end of that which is also not a common way to ‘see’ alters but definitely not unheard of.

The entire struggle for control of the body was extremely relatable, fighting for the front is a weird struggle that only really gets better with communication and time and of course understanding the needs of all parts.

For an alter who only just learned about the existence of another person in their head, he’s taking a lot better and easier than I did and many other parts did. Tangible evidence tends to cement those feelings better.

I as a part relate a lot to both Steven and Marc, Steven especially when I first found out about the DID but also Marc in how I felt to parts that didn’t really seem to have the same goals as me, or interfered with them in any way.

I really liked it so far, I do think that it depicts a person with DID in a fantastical marvel world experiencing very marvel things quite well. I was already spoiled for some other parts from gif sets and stuff so I know my mind won’t change too drastically from my current opinion on it.

Im sure other parts may have slightly different opinions and may want to say their piece at some point but I’ll leave it at that.

The idea for this blog came from suggestions seen on @csmeanerr. Highly recommend that blog if you just want to see species dunked on rather than a rounded proposition of them

"Species" refers to open and closed original species popularly found on Toyhouse and Deviantart. Terribly sorry but you will NOT find axolotls or puppies rated here!

The purpose of this blog is for people to find species they might like OR submit a somewhat well rounded rating for species they have/see. I... don't recommend you try and submit your own species unless you're capable of providing inevitable flaws that it has. All species have them, sorry.

When submitting a species rating, things to include are:

-A reference image, or link to an image I can answer with if youre anon

-A link to the group, hub, community, traits sheet etc. DO NOT just say the name!!! Names can be pretty common

-Provide an overview of the pros and cons of the species, OR you can ask me to do a brief dig and analysis. Heads up, it will be brief indeed because I get busy a lot (also the fact I'm not in a lot of species groups... I prefer open species or offbranding). Stating if the species is open or closed is helpful. Try to keep it to one single ask.

-Your reviews can lean towards negative or positive. Some species are great, some suck! So long as you have at LEAST one pro and one con, it's good

I might be adding my own thoughts and commentary on the species in the tags. Additionally, feel free to comment on past dramas, conundrums, issues or other mishaps the species has faced. Knowing a community is just as vital as knowing the anatomy, lore, designs, owner, system, traits, or anything else!
