So, uh, I miss you people. All of you. Talking and squeeing about Clint/Coulson with you was great, and I miss it.
I’m writing a bunch of short C/C stories for @ereshai ‘s C/C Trope Bingo, so I’m gonna post about that process here, in hopes of some of you coming back to squee with me. There are 25 squares on a card, and I posted my CCHE story () as the first Bingo Card fill, so my plan is to write & post two stories/month for the rest of the year. I’ve just finished one story (for the “Phil shoots Clint in the leg” square) and I’m working on one for the “Secret relationship” square.

If anyone has any suggestions / prompts / things they’d like to see for particular squares, let me know (which will be harder now, of course, since Tumblr took replies away, but I’ll try to always remember to put a question mark at the end of my posts so that “Answers” will at least be turned on...)
I’m really happy that our little corner of famdom is still alive and well and relatively drama-free, and it would be great to connect with some of you again.

Hi guys,
Long time no mod post. We’re pretty casual here so no worries. I just wanted to leave a note on the comm about the chat.
I have decided to impose a 2 week ban on AOU spoiler talk in the live chat room. It’s just so everyone feels comfortable coming in and aren’t worried about being accidentally spoiled while reading back.
Hopefully I’ll have seen the movie myself by then and can be around to clearly mark the beginning and end of spoiler talk for another two weeks.
Everyone in the room can PM at this point so there will be opportunities to discuss AOU privately.
This is a special situation, I don’t see the need to revisit this sort of policy for the TV shows, but will probably consider it on a case by case basis for future MCU movies.

716 words for an actual prompt I was given (that almost never happens - admittedly, I’ve only filled like two of the four I’ve gotten in the last several years). Butterfly-wing/Lepidoptera verse fluffy/cuddly stuff.
In the same verse I’ve also scribbled a few hundred words and notes in the last few weeks (aside from the 1593 word fic posted to AO3) despite a lot of heavy crap going on in my life. Which...I’m happy my brain is open enough to allow the escape into writing even if I am not getting the boost from it I had hoped.
Sadly nothing added to my WIP-Bang (the story I was going to use for the Hawkeye-MiniBang). Nor anything new to various other stories. Ideas percolating, sure, but no new words on paper/screen.
I’d say here’s hoping, but, the week before me is going to be very long and very trying. I’m not looking forward to it.

Um, hi...
Been a long time, huh? Yeah. I’ve been writing, but I don’t really have any totals to give out. Also dealing with a crisis of confidence, which, who am I kidding, I never had any to begin with...regardless, I updated a story.
3 Broken Hearts is updated, and available on AO3, under my pseudonym. Links are available on my page. That chapter rolled in at 5700 words.
Not totally a C/C thing, but, I figure I might get some feedback here that I wouldn’t posting it to my actual blog. So. Question is – how long do you feel is too long for a tumbly-fic? For me, I kind of loosely use 1000 or so words as my threshold. I ask this because of some of the stuff I am working on for the Bfly-wing verse. Part Five will be under 1000, of that I am almost certain, I just need to write out a sparring scene and my head has been in ‘I have a cold land’ lately so that hasn’t worked. Part Six (btw - how?!)… Part Six is likely to be longer. By a fair bit I think. I’m blaming Steve. It’s also actually maybe getting a little plotty? Like not by a lot, but…there are threads? I dunno.
So I have to ask – should I just post it all under a cut? Do I do multiple parts? (More pictures!) Would it be like a tumbly-fic LOTR without the epic adventure and singing? Or, do I move the whole silly thing to AO3? I’d arguably have a bigger audience. I don’t get much traffic here unless someone big reblogs me (even the cc on tumblr comm maybe gets me two or three additional likes…or my stuff is just unremarkable – depends on the day I’m having which I believe there). But I kinda like having a little something extra for the people crazy enough to follow me on tumblr for this fandom. Also, I don’t want to get some sort of stigma for posting tiny fics to AO3 (which I have seen people rage about elsewhere…it’s a silly thing to rage about, but, fandoms are weird) and there is no telling how many of these things would be over that magical threshold.
It’s not quite like Delay of Game where I was happy putting things up as chapters to collect the flotsam & jetsam tumbly fics for Best Game. I feel like if the Bfly stuff goes it should get a proper series (even if I hate titling things). Thoughts, anyone? Bueller? And, belatedly, I hope this is okay to post. This place has been too quiet, but, I still think I’d rather ask here and hope for the best. I’ll delete if need be.

600 or so handwritten words at work for a Bfly wing-fic. A minor miracle considering I’ve been exhausted all week for no reason that I can figure out. The emotional & mental exhaustion is totally due to BS at work. The physical...I dunno. I was supposed to be working on my Avengers-AOU bridging fic, but, I imagine my brain rebelled with Bfly stuff in a fit of ‘too tired and stressed for srs bsns’ or something.

Posted two drabbles today. One for The Best Game verse, one for the Bfly-wing verse. The Best Game drabble was written over the last few days while at work (amazing, really, since I’ve been getting close to burn out there - aren’t stress and frustration fun?!) and only a bit of the Bfly was written today (evening things out, putting in an ending). I also scribbled a few more words for another Bfly drabble which is almost ready to post. All totaled I’ve written about 1308 or so words over the last few days - hence the ‘ish’ in the title. :) Looking ahead (aka if anyone is bored/has time feel free to poke/bug/whatever me about how the following are going):
The Hawkeye MiniBang was canceled, but I still want to finish that fic.
I also have my Best Game verse holiday fic to finish (yes, I know it’s almost mid March).
And I have an untitled fic that will bridge the time from Avengers to Age of Ultron for Clint.
At least the ideas are flowing?

I've finally managed to get my brain together enough to type up all my notes and bits and pieces of the Detective AU sequel, and I also managed to write another 1,045 words. I'm getting close to the halfway point now :D
(Which is where things really get interesting...)

Everything I'll be noting is handwritten in my semi-battered notebook I carry at work, so, it's more of a ballpark count. :)
Wrote about 305 words today (and another 400 or so the other day) of Barney and a little Bobbi in the Best Game verse.Three guesses as to who/what the topic of conversation was (and the first two don't count).
After I managed to quiet Barney (way more difficult than I ever thought it would be), I was finally able to get 250 or so words for my Hawkeye Mini Bang, first draft due Wednesday. I'm not panicking at all (that's a lie, I'm panicking a lot).
I might've gotten more done, but, it was a quieter day at work and a few coworkers were chatty and I enjoy talking with them so I consider it time well spent. Total count ~555ish today so far. We'll see if I can get some more in on my laptop before bed.

I wrote a bit on and off over the weekend, and aside from plotting out a few things, I managed to write about 871 words on the sequel to my Detective AU (Trouble at Hardwick Hall). I'm not entirely happy with them, because I feel like something is off in the language, but hopefully another look over them tomorrow morning will help.
