Well, that was a waste of time...
I previously posted that I was trying to follow the new rules regarding nudity, and had appealed all of the automated strikes against my posts. Each time, I got a near-immediate response that the strikes were in error, and that my posts were not in violation of the Terms of Service.
So I planned to put together some new posts and schedule them for the coming weeks. When I sat down today to start working, I noticed that my icon had changed to the default value, which was odd. I then remembered reading that any Tumblrs that were “restricted” were going to be returned to a generic view.
I used a private viewing window, and confirmed that this Tumblr is marked as having “sensitive” content - even though every one of the posts has been cleared. This was not the case just a few days ago. So something has happened to make my blog unreachable/undiscoverable. Further, there is no flag or control that is visible to me to show this status - it is now completely in the background (in control of Tumblr admins only).
As a result, there is really no good reason to continue on with this experiment. I have tried to follow their rules to the letter, only to have them shut me down without warning (no emails sent to my owner account alerting me of this change) and no known method of fixing this.
This will be my last post. Sorry.
