hi everyone it's trans day of visibility so i think it is a good moment to remember that

- there are more than two genders

- trans women don't owe you femininity, trans men don't owe you masculinity and nonbinary people don't owe you androgyny

- pronouns don't equal gender

- you don't need dysphoria to be trans

- you don't have to change your name to be trans

- gender expression doesn't equal gender identity

- you don't have to medically transition to be trans

- being trans doesn't mean you hate yourself

- trans men are men and trans women are women

- being trans is not a choice

Gender is a social construct! Race is a social construct! Lots of things are social constructs! They were concepts created by people, not nature!

HOWEVER, gender is important to many people! Race is important to many people! Lots of things still matter to people and influence their lives heavily despite being social constructs!

It’s time to stop telling people that race/gender don’t exist!!!!!!!

Clarke Griffin

Clarke was leader of the 100 delinquent kids sent down to Earth to test the planets habitability (but really why send these teenagers down there as punishment?).

Clarke is a natural leader, as well as very headstrong and determined. And though she was co-leaders alongside Bellamy, Clarke tended to be gentler and more maternal. She’s incredibly smart and strategic, as well as artistic and creative. She can be stubborn, but is very loyal, to the point that being unable to protect her loved ones causes her to become reckless and take on a much darker personality. She does often have the group’s best interests at heart, and never likes unecessary violence or killing, as is shown by her strong moral compass. She is portrayed by Eliza Taylor on CW’s The 100.

Shuri

It’s everyone’s favorite Wakandan princess, Shuri! And perhaps she’ll be the next Black Panther (maybe? anyone else hoping for that?)

Shuri is the main character T’Challa’s younger sister, making her film debut in Black Panther (2018), played by Letitia Wright. Shuri is nothing short of a genius, coming up with incredible technology that could put Tony Stark to shame. She’s fierce, funny, and a real fighter, though she’ll always pause to tease her big brother, as siblings do. As a black woman in the STEM field, Shuri proves to be a groundbreaking character who we will hopefully see much more of in Black Panther 2 (scheduled for release in 2022).

Adora

As the current She-Ra, this blonde is very strong with some major spunk. She’s a strong leader who knows her morals, and loves her friends.

Adora has always been tough, having been raised in a military environment without a proper family structure, though that does mean she can be a bit blunt and a touch clueless. She isn’t always the best under pressure, but works hard to overcome any fears she may have. She does have quite a bit of a hero complex, willing to risk her life to save her friends. And though she can be a loner, Adora is very loyal and sees her friends as family. She is voiced by Amy Carerro

Big fan of the “no uterus no opinion” sentiment, but I would also like to take a moment to invalidate the opinions of women who have never had a dangerous pregnancy, have never been at risk/had complications, or have never been sexually active.

Congratulations, you have had the privilege of never worrying about what could go wrong. Maybe take a moment to listen to women who haven’t.

loved moxie. loved the book. honestly it would have been so much better as a series but it was good. do I wish they'd done more with lucy x amaya? yes. do i wish there had been more cj? yes! but it's mostly told from vivian's point of view which makes a smaller scope of what's focused on. i'd love to see more movies/books like this from different point of views but it's a start.

Karolina Dean

This preppy church girl realized half alien glowing rainbow lesbian will always be beloved to me. Marvel’s Runaways is truly an amazing show (I have not read the comics but have heard good things about them as well) that I highly recommend, and characters like Karolina are the reason why.

Her great lesbian realization came with watching some girls kiss at a party, taking off her church bracelet, glowing rainbow, and then promplty passing out. Like girl that’s a mood. Anyway Karolina has amazing powers as a half alien, and is very loyal to her friends, sacrificing herself to save them multiple times. She is very brave and kind, and is also very forgiving, always looking to see the best in people. She’s portrayed by Virginia Gardener.
