Y’all I’m 100% pro choice and I totally and completely believe it is the individual person’s choice whether or not to have kids, but I am actually so bothered by people who act like a baby that someone DOES plan to keep doesn’t matter when in womb.

I knew this far left chick in high school and I was talking to her one day abt this pregnant girl in our grade and said “it rly concerns me she still smokes weed while pregnant bc she plans to have and raise that baby” and this girl responded “well there’s actually no evidence that weed harms a baby” which like ??? You don’t drink alcohol when pregnant why would you smoke ???

Like as I said, you don’t want to be pregnant and abort it? Cool, totally your choice. I’m also a huge supporter of legalizing weed for recreational use. But if you’re going to allow a fetus to become a baby, give birth to it, and raise it as your child, it’s abusive to do things during the pregnancy that could give it lifelong health issues, and I stand by that.

I’m so sick and tired of the “I just care about her health” narrative when people fat-shame. We all know it goes beyond that. Not even considering the fact that you shouldn’t give people unwanted health advice, any person with a functioning brain knows it never stops there. People treat fat people like they don’t even deserve to live. They shame clothing companies for OFFERING plus sizes. They shame fat people who are EXERCISING. They shame fat people for feeling beautiful, and they claim that anyone skinny who finds fat people beautiful is either lying or just has a fat fetish. If you’re still claiming it’s “about health,” you’re delusional. Fat-shamers don’t want fat people to lose weight and “improve themselves,” they want to never have to look at or interact with them. Even if that means making them miserable and potentially suicidal.
