Struck by Lightning (2012) Glee’s Chris Colfer wrote and stars in this film about an ambitious teen who challenges the high school status quo by blackmailing his classmates into contributing to his literary magazine. The cast includes Pitch Perfect’s Rebel Wilson, Allison Janney, Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks, and Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland.

I was so impressed with Chris when I first read the script. It was an amazing accomplishment for such a young person. I was impressed with the depth of the movie at the same time it played for comedy in a very naturalistic way. I have nothing but love and respect for the guy.
