Lives in a zombie apocalypse setting caused by nuclear fallout, infected by contact with contaminated blood during a forage mission, and currently classified as the first "high-function roamer."
Retains most executive functions but doesn't vocalize due to the degradation of Broca's area. Therefore, he communicates using notepads and hand gestures. He's also afraid of scaring people with the noises he makes.
Has a wife and a pair of 8-year-old twins
Raw meat is not of interest to him, but the muzzle is there for public safety. *Raw salmon is tolerable*
Doberman energy at work, Golden Retriever energy at home
An absolute lightweight
Loves chocolate and strawberry crêpe
*His surname has a nod to the infamous Chornobyl disaster*
Hates poached eggs
Info regarding worldbuilding
A nuclear fallout created zombie-like creatures, which people named "roamers." Roamers have incredible stamina, which allows them to travel from place to place in search of food.
Roamers are identified by their pale skin, dark sclerae, and illuminated irises. Otherwise, the inhuman sounds and movements that they make are due to compromised brain function.
Unlike typical zombies, roamers don't rot unless they receive extensive injuries, and they are picky eaters whose diet consists of fresh and uncontaminated meat. But they don't usually waste food either. Therefore, their victims are usually entirely eaten or turn after escaping from a roamer attack, but unfortunately get bitten.
Roamers infect victims through the transfer of body fluids, including bites and contaminated water, but sometimes there are more "creative" ways a victim could be infected.
The virus has a 24-hour dormancy period; infected victims would suffer roughly 1-2 days of high fever and seizures before turning.
On rare occasions, a roamer would have gases built up in their bodies and get pumped up like a balloon; these are called "bloaters." Much like a bloated whale, they explode upon impact, enough to shatter bulletproof glass and helmets. *Sergei is unfortunately infected by a bloater while protecting a cadet from its explosion.*
The government offers people with residential protection in the form of camps, and these camps are numbered Bastions. *Sergei and his kids lived in Bastion-12 before his infection. After infection, he is moved to Bastion-Alpha (at the capital) for scientific research purposes.* However, there are also scattered groups of survivors and cults living in the wild.
I love how Foley got more and more deranged and unstable in your art as time went on. There is a clear progression in how you slowly figured out how you wanted him to act. And I think we need more insane characters in this fandom <3
He’s so insane compared to how he acted in some of your oldest art
Yeah, I tend to give my OCs more in-depth personality and backstory from time to time. But Foley had always been my little psycho; it's just the way I draw him improves along with my skills.
