“Draco, years ago I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you.”

Tell me this is not the most awkward thing you’ve ever seen.
oh my GOD
Cinderella never asked for a prince. She asked for a night off and a dress.
Like not once did she say “I want a prince to come and rescue me from my situation.”
She just wanted to look cute and turn the fuck up at the party.
(via sighes)
basically
you dont understand how happy this makes me
Look at this
LOOK
I’ve never made this connection before…at the beginning of DH Hermione tells Ron and Harry how a wizard who’d split his soul could heal himself, save himself…remorse oh, harry
Harry James you precious baby
I’ve read this second bit before, the whole try for some remorse thing, and thought it was just a Harry stabbing in the dark, but nO
It was so calculated
He remembered that conversation
Hermione’s research
actual, possible redemption for Voldemort
he kept that hope, however slim, that Voldemort could be saved
before they cast their final curses, after all that happened, Harry was actually trying to get Voldemort to mend himself back together
Harry james potter you compassionate jerk trying to save your mortal enemy before he utterly and finally destroys himself
This is everything
Yes. Dh2 is the worst film adaptation I can’t.
Happy World Kindness Day! The confetti cannons are firing and it’s kale chips all around here at Random Acts. We hope you’ll celebrate by doing a random act of kindness or two (or four or, dare we hope, thirteen) today.
If you need some ideas, here are a few ways you can celebrate:
Help someone in need right now. Consider a donation to a global charity, your favorite local charity, or someone you know who could use a helping hand.
Do what you love for others. Love knitting? Or maybe you’re a crazy good artist? Start a project that will help others like knitting blankets for a homeless shelter or offering to donate your wicked mad painting skills to a charity that helps children at risk. It’s a great way to have fun while spreading kindness.
Clean up your act. Volunteer to help with neighborhood clean up or just pick up litter around the office or your school. A little work can go a long way and you never know who you might inspire to lend a hand.
Go for a walk - and take a dog with you. Offer to walk dogs or play with cats at a local animal shelter. Or get the word out about adoptable pets in your area. Volunteer to take photos and share them with local newspapers and pet advocacy groups or share them with your own friends who are looking for a furry friend.
Pay it forward. Leave some change at a vending machine, buy the person behind you in line for lunch a cup of Joe, or purchase a gift card for a friend or neighbor in need. Be the reason that someone smiles today!
Get involved: Make a pledge today to donate a few hours a week - or even few days a month to a charity you love. Some charities even offer virtual volunteer opportunities.
Just smile. Be the bright spot in someone’s day. Sometimes it’s the smallest acts of kindness that make the most impact.
We hope you’ll share your stories with us by tagging #theRandomAct and #WorldKindnessDay2014. Let’s celebrate today with a little extra kindness. Have an amazing day conquering the world with kindness.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Ok I understand it may still be early for some but as Christmas lights are beginning to be switched on in towns and cities across the country this week, it is becoming harder to ignore the approaching festive season. I’m fascinated by the magic of Christmas and its power to make the best part of two months feel so special. As you have probably gathered I embody the festive spirit around this time of year and tend to feel a bit disheartened when people brush off the enchantment of Christmas.
For a number of reasons this year has been difficult for me, unfortunately my judgement has been skewed by hope and a tendency to care a bit too much. However, these are two aspects of my personality which I’ll never give up - no matter how much trouble they get me into! Christmas is driving me to the end of a tough year and to a fresh start, I believe it shall help me reflect on what has gone a wee bit wrong and give me the optimism to end the year on a high note. Some may think I am pinning a lot of confidence on a time of year which many perceive as being a commercialised waste of time. However, I believe the two traits which may have shattered a few expectations of the year so far will aid my campaign for a genuinely happier Christmas for everyone!
Simple (and perhaps extravagant) acts of kindness are justified as ‘festive cheer’ in Christmas films; lives are apparently transformed and we are encouraged to believe in magic and miracles. Most people think that the Christmases portrayed in songs, films and books are too good to be true; love can’t be re-enlightened or kindled because of the romanticism of a beautifully decorated tree, mulled wine, twinkly lights or a chance meeting under the mistletoe. I’m not naïve enough to suggest that Christmas shall magically make everything in the world better but if we collectively choose to carry out random acts of kindness surely it will not only make yourself feel good but it may also have a huge effect on someone’s life. Have the confidence to say someone looks beautiful or handsome, appreciate how hard people are working around you and take time to talk and listen to friends, neighbours or anyone who has the time to share pleasantries with you. There are a huge amount of good deeds, big and small, and many take barely any effort at all.
All I am asking is that this year you choose to believe in the magic of Christmas. Let’s start a new trend of spreading cheer and happiness. 100 years ago two supposed enemies chose to put down their weapons and pick up a football in the name of peace at Christmas. How wonderful would it be if we all chose to embrace a similar sentiment?! Spreading happiness is infectious and I hope it will extend into the New Year.
