August 15? Knowing that somehow made Echo feel a bit more at ease. So it had just been a dream then…. There was no way she would have been able to travel to such a far-off place as this within the span of just a few hours. Even with the Abyss’ interference that would have been an oddity.
However there was still something with the man’s words that bugged her.
Draping the crimson cloak around her and lowering her blade (still keeping it in a firm grip just in case), the Baskerville stands up. She would normally stay as far away as possible from this piece of clothing, the stench of blood covering it made her feel sick to her stomach, but at the moment it seemed she had no other alternatives.
"Trapped?"
Yuri noticed that the girl hadn't relaxed the grip on her blade yet and made sure not to startle her as best he could. Sure, he could most likely dodge her, but he'd rather not have to fight at all if he didn't have his sword.
He nodded. "Yeah. Trapped. You got thrown in here by a glitch in the system--don't ask, I don't get it yet either--and the world won't let you go all that easily."
He paused, thinking about how he could tell her she died without openly telling her she died. "Did you... I dunno, get injured lately? Not a cut or something, more like a really serious wound?"
This was the only dumb part of his plan. He sucked at explaining.
