hi dears! first off, thanks for running this blog and for making it all very user friendly. <3 it's been ages since i read fic and after having seen civil war i'm right back into the stucky feels. gosh, i've missed them. i couldn't find a FAQ on this blog however, so please do tell me if what i'm about to ask is too much of a hassle, but i was wondering if you rec me any fics where either of our boys are asexual? specifically multichapter! most of the tagged ace fics on ao3 are oneshots. :(

"You mean he needs a babysitter." Steve sat back and folded his arms. "Seriously."

"It's a one week assignment whilst he's in the country. If they like you and the two of you don't actually kill each other in those seven days, there might be the slim chance of a full time retainer - which," Fury held up his hand before Steve could get another word out. "Would be more than lucrative for both you and the company."
Steve stared at the face which looked out of half a dozen photographs on the table. Ridiculous eyelashes framed eyes that seemed to flit between silver-grey and palest blue depending upon the light. Full lips pouted at the camera, or, in one shot in particular, wrapped around a cigarette in the most obscene way possible.
"What kind of situations?" Steve asked, and ignored Fury's triumphant smirk. Yeah, yeah, so he'd bitten. Call him a sucker for lost causes that needed rescuing. Although listening to Fury's recounting of some of the things Barnes had been caught doing, it sounded like he needed saving from himself more than anything.
Summary:Ā Bucky Barnes has been advised to get a puppy to help get him back into civilian life. Steve Rogers runs the local dog shelter that Bucky visits. Drama ensues.
Bucky decides to get a dog, because he needs a dog. Well. He needs a companion. He could get a dog or a cat or a hamster, a tortoise maybe, hell he could get a chinchilla or some shit. Or y'know, he could get an actual human friend who wasnāt Natalia, who was always flitting here, there and everywhere on missions that she described as ātoo secret for the CIAā. But heās decided on a dog, so heās going to get a damn dog.
Sam says he needs someone. Buckyās nightmares are frequent, and not even just confined to the night. Any time he closes his eyes, whether it be to sleep, to rest them, or even just to blink, there are images of so many tours in the Middle East, so many of his friends shot, stabbed and killed, blown to pieces. He sees his own bloodied stump of an arm, and gets a pain in his shoulder when he thinks about it. He really does try not to. He would wipe that whole part of his memory if he could. But he canāt, and Sam says maybe, in a warped, twisted kinda way, thatās a good thing.
āThose memories have made you who you are now, Bucky.ā Heās said, on multiple occasions. āYou just have to work through them.ā
But thatās easier said than done, of course.
So heās getting a dog to serve as a distraction, someone to provide some comfort when he has a particularly bad nightmare, someone to give him a reason to get up and eat and wash and leave the house. Someone to give him a sense of purpose.
And so he walks into that shelter with a bag full of dog supplies in the trunk of his car, and the plan to not leave that shelter without a dog of some sort.
Okay I could have sworn I found this fic on this blog, but now I can't find it anywhere. It's a post-TWS fic, like 60k, and it's mainly Bucky stalking Steve because Steve is like completely oblivious to the dangers around him. He bugs his apartment, takes out Hydra before he gets there, etc. and gets doted on by the old people in his building. Can you help me please?
I canāt seem to find it anywhere either, anon. Any ideas?

Summary:Ā There wasnāt anything left to salvage. Thatās what Fury believed. It would have been a kindness to put him down.
When SHIELD finally releases Bucky from custody, he is not the man anyone expects him to be. The ruthlessness of the Winter Soldier is gone, replaced with a child-like wariness as he struggles to communicate his warped understanding of who he is and what was done to him. But with Hydra scrambling to regroup, SHIELD takes dangerous measures to secure Zola's algorithm to use against them, and Steve is dragged back into battle, forced to weigh what's best for Bucky against what's best for the fate of the free world.
Then Bucky is abducted.
Steve races to recover his friend before the man who was Bucky is gone forever. When the rescue stalls, he starts to crumble under the weight of everything he has lost and everything the war has taken from him.
Meanwhile, Bucky confronts a terrible piece of ex-SHIELD tech that was in development long before Project Insight, but in order to survive, he must decide who he is going to be: the vulnerable Bucky Barnes or the indomitable Winter Soldier? It turns out there might not be as big a difference as everyone seems to think.
In the end, tracking down the Winter Soldier is easy. Ā And itās the last place Rogers would look, because itās the last place Rogers would want to believe heād be. Ā Fury finds him alone and docilely vacant at Pierceās summer home in Narragansett, smooth clouds even grey over the pounding, restless water. Ā The soldier hadnāt struggled, hadnāt made a sound as the TAC team moved in and seized him, wrenching his arms into the mag cuffs, pinning him face down against the porch. Ā He hadnāt made a sound on the trip back to base, or during the scans and tests or surgeries to remove three tracking chips implanted in his spine. Ā Hadnāt said a word under any form of interrogation. Ā There was nothing worse they could do to him than what had already been done. Ā Fury had eventually passed him down for Coulson to deal with, a courtesy more than anything. Ā There wasnāt anything left to salvage. Ā Thatās what Fury believed. Ā It would have been a kindness to put him down.

Aside from dealing with the usual war veteran issues and passed loverās heartbreaks, Steve Rogers is a relatively normal guy. Heās good and wholesome - the kind you take home to the parents. He keeps to himself and never goes looking for trouble, but trouble just might look out for him when it moves into his apartment building in the form of an unfairly handsome guy with a metal arm and his Russian ballerina daughter.
Could you pretty please do one where all the Avengers believe Steve is way more innocent than he actually is and Bucky (or Steve himself) surprises them by showing them the real big-mouthed punk from Brooklyn he was (/still is) or telling stories about all the stupid things he did?

Thereād been a lot of screaming and then the camera had cut off.

Itās a sunny day, which is ironic, really. A mid-November, cold kind of sunny, but a beautiful day nonetheless. The wind is blowing just hard enough to warrant a coat and a scarf, but the sun is warm on Steveās face as he makes the walk to Natashaās apartment. His hands are a bit cold, but that won't matter in a few minutes anyway.
It always hits Steve hard that there arenāt many people walking about the city. He exits his apartment and expects to be swept away into the waves of people going every which way to work or school or wherever, but not anymore. Not since the news aired two weeks ago.
Not since the virus.
It still makes him nervous, going outside, but he figures that he has six years of military training under his belt and that gives him a leg up on the Infected.
He doesnāt like when people call them zombiesāit sounds like something out of a horror movie. It makes him feel like heās living in a fantasy. And, nope, this is definitely real life. The conspiracy theorists are having a field day with this one. And Steve can't really blame them, if heās honest with himself. It is insane. Zombies in New York? When heās first heard it, he hadn't believed it.
Heād been with Natasha and Sam watching a football game when a breaking news banner had popped up on the bottom of the screen.
