With the posting window for the Stucky Scary Event opening in just a few days, we wanted to make sure to provide all the information you’ll need to participate!
1. Post your work
You can post your art, fic, or other fanwork any time during the posting window from October 14th - October 29th. You can host your work on AO3, Tumblr, or wherever else you prefer to share fanworks. It can be posted staggered or all at once, so long as it is complete by October 29th.
If you are collaborating with someone, it will be up to you how to coordinate posting.
2. Add your completed work to the AO3 Collection
If you’re posting to AO3, make sure to add StuckyScaryEvent2018 collection. This may not show up in the drop down suggestions on AO3, but it is the correct title.
This collection is currently closed, and will open on October 14th. Please note that it is moderated, so there may be a small delay between when you submit your work for approval and when it is accepted into the collection.
3. Create your masterpost
Please note that while this step is completely optional, you will need to create a Tumblr masterpost if you want us to reblog and promote your work here. You’re welcome to create your masterpost in whatever way you feel best represents your work, but here are a couple of examples you can use if you’d like a frame of reference.

4. Submit your event submission form
The final - very important - step you’ll need to take to participate in the event is to fill out your event submission form. It will ask for a little bit of information about the work as well as links where the content you created can be viewed.
We will be using this form to know when there is a masterpost to reblog because Tumblr tags are often unreliable. Additionally, we will be using this information to create a searchable spreadsheet of submitted work.
You can fill out the form here. The form will remain open until October 29th, 11:59PM Hawaii Time (what time is that for you?)
5. After you submit
On October 31st, we will create a final post promoting the work of all this year’s participants. We look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

I want to suggest, if it’s possible, a kind of group chat or something (slack, discord, amino,etc) for people that want to participate and maybe share their prompts for possible collabs in there? No pressure though, just thought that would make it a bit more interactive for the people that wanna try it :)

Creator registration for Marvel Trumps Hate is officially open! We are accepting sign-ups from now until 11:59 PM ET on October 14 (what time is that for me?), with bidding taking place a week after that, from October 21 to October 27. All auction times will be in Eastern Time (ET). Please read our participation page for instructions and information you need to know before signing up.

Thank you all for your patience as we worked out the details this year’s event. We’re pleased to now share those details with you! This year’s Stucky Scary Event welcomes all horror themed fanworks in the Stucky fandom.
Participating
There are no official sign-ups for this year’s event, but you can follow us or watch the tag #Scary Announcement to be kept up to date!
Any fic, art, or other fanwork that can be shared over the internet qualifies.
All submitted works need to be Stucky and horror themed. You can find a list of generally accepted horror genres here.
Fics should be a minimum of 5,000 words.
You can participate independently or collaborate with someone else. There will be no claims process of any kind, however, and any collaboration will be strictly the responsibility of the collaborating partners.
How it works
You’ll have until the end of October to complete a work that fits the requirements of the event. The posting window is from October 14th through October 29th.
Once you’ve completed your submission, we’ll have a form for you to fill out linking us to a masterpost we can reblog to promote your work. We will also be using this form to create a searchable spreadsheet.
During the posting window, if you are posting your submission on AO3, you can add completed works to this year’s collection.
On October 31st, we will create a final post promoting the work of all this year’s participants.

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, due to some other obligations, the mod team doesn't have the bandwidth to run any sort of prompt claiming this year. In our experience, without some sort of claims structure, it is quite likely that a number of people will end up working on the same prompt. This can be distressing for some participants, and at the end of the day we want this to be a fun, low-pressure event for everyone. If you're looking to participate and are in need of ideas though, there are a number of horror prompt lists and generators out there! I'm so glad I discovered this bang! I love horror and I love Stucky, so I'm so happy someone came up with this. So is there a specific schedule we need to follow? Is there more information you can give for the 2018 version of this bang? I read the latest post but still feel confused on dates and deadlines and rules since you said it's not the same as 2017. Hi there! Thanks for reaching out! This year's event will be a little bit more casual and open ended than last year. We'll be posting all the specifics in the next week or so.
A Stucky Scary Bang Announcement
Hi everyone! There have been a few questions about whether the Stucky Scary Bang will be happening this year, so we wanted to reach out and give you all an update.
First of all, we will not be running the Scary Bang in the format we did last year. The mods for this event are also on the mod team for another event with schedule overlap. We came to the decision that we didn’t have the bandwidth to stretch ourselves so thin without both events suffering for it.
That being said, we’re not nixing the event entirely. We’ve opted to create a collection of horror-themed Stucky works this year. You’re invited to create fanworks that will be admitted into this year’s event collection on AO3. We intend to have a searchable spreadsheet of submitted works and reblog the Tumblr posts that correspond to those works.
We’ll be reaching out later in the summer with specific directions, so keep an eye on our Tumblr!
