Hey guys, my week has been pretty hectic but I made time to create a few printables that will hopefully help you with your school life. Click on the titles (links to the file on my Study Drive) to download them!
T A S K Â T R A C K E R
To help you keep track of all your assignments, homework, projects, etc. Includes a progress bar that you can shade in according to how much of the assignment youâve completed. You can also set a goal or expected score and compare it to your final score. I included fields for âdate givenâ and âdate dueâ so that you can prioritize and plan your tasks accordingly. I wanted to include a box to check when youâve submitted the assignment because sometimes I complete the assignment but forget to submit it, or Iâve already submitted the assignment but panic because I thought I hadnât done it yet. I couldnât squeeze this into the sheet, but I think you could just put a tick beside the due date or something.
F O R M U L AÂ L I S T
For subjects that require you to memorize formulas, like physics, economics, math, etc. The left column is for the formula, while the right is for variables and their units, e.g. âv = u + atâ would go on the left, while the right column would have something like âv: final velocity/ms-1; u: initial velocity/ms-1; a: acceleration/ms-2; t: time/sâ.
H A B I TÂ T R A C K E R
31 columns and 16 rows to help you maintain your habits, e.g. drinking 8 glasses of water a day, exercising, journaling, etc.
 T E S T T R A C K E R
Similar to what I have in my bullet journal in this post. I use it mainly to see the relationship between how much I study and how high I score on tests, but you can also use it to maintain your grades.
Thatâs all for now. Hope these printables help, and may the rest of your school year be well-organized! Oh, and feedback would be rad; I always appreciate it when I find out how I can improve my content. Have a great week :)

Habits of successful students
Discipline: âdiscipline is doing what needs to be done, even when you donât want toâ, which means that you have to force yourself to start doing things.Â
Concentration: when you make a real effort in your work (study, homeworks etcâŚ) you will be more likely to actually focus, understand and learn.Â
Organization: always set tasks and goals and organize a study-schedule. Maybe you donât really want to plan all the week, but if you just wake up and open your agenda/bullet journal/iphone calendar and write down all the things you have to do, setting due dates and deadlines, youâll feel more conscious and encouraged to stay on track.Â
Tasks-splitting: sometimes, you write down your tasks. Some of these tasks may be very hard and complicated, and it will take a long long time to complete them. So, you can split them in smaller tasks, so you will feel satisfied after a shorter period of time, instead of studying for hours and still seeing that chapter undone on your study-schedule.Â
Watch the sunrise: when I wake up late, I feel like I donât have enought time to do my work and lose my motivation. I literally panic and then I think âwhatever, I could not complete all the things anywayâ. So, if you wake up earlier you will feel more positive and  controlled.Â
Smart reading: try not to read your textbook just like a newspaper. For every paragraph you read, try to underline and write down key words and then your question about that subject. Literally, turn your textbook into questions. If you write down question - particularly whyâŚ? - and think about the answer, you will be more likely to remember that stuff later.Â
Healthy lifestile: if you donât drink enough water in the morning, you will be more likely to have a decrease of concentration in the afternoon/evening, so: stay hydrated. Try also to have some snaks every one-two hours: feed your brain.Â
In honor of my 5th semester in a row of all Aâs (hell yeah boiiiii) Iâm going to make this post. I donât know how I did it because I am honestly so lazy.
Grades are reflective of your work ethic and your ability to strategize, not your intelligence.
Be real with yourself. Are you sure you are ready to commit to perfect grades? Are you ready to work, day in and day out, when it sucks and classes are boring and hard? Are you ready to feel satisfied for all of the hard work you put in? If the answer is yes, congratulations. You are on your way to becoming a straight-A student.
Prioritize classes. Not every class requires the same amount of work, and you should find out the hardest classes early on in the semester. These will take the most time, and you will have to spend extra time and effort to get a good grade. When choosing classes, make sure you will be able to handle them. Make sure you will be able to ace all of them, at the same time. That being said, donât shy away from hard classes. You have to challenge yourself. Take a few APâs. They are worth it.
Make friends with teachers/professors, especially the ones that teach hard subjects. I am very close with my chemistry professor, and this has proved invaluable because I am able to get free tutoring, as well as a great recommendation letter for college apps.
Have other goals. You need to do something that is not studying to keep you productive. I would highly recommend joining a sports team or club. I exercise (usually running and weightlifting) at least 2 hours a day, usually more. Playing 2 sports made me more healthy, social, and productive. Running calms me down, and weightlifting makes me feel strong. Do whatever makes you feel good, as long as itâs healthy.
Learn to manage time well. How do I play 2 sports, get straight Aâs, have a studyblr, and have time to spare? The answer is that I take care of myself well. I go to bed at 10:30 or 11 each night so I can get 7 ish hours of sleep. I do homework during lunch or in class so I donât do it at home.
Slack off. Yep. I said it. I complete assignments strategically, spending the most time on things worth the most points. Things that will only take a few minutes can occasionally be done in class right before the teacher is collecting homework. I have done this all too often. That being said, small assignments really do add up so make sure you do an acceptable job and turn them in on time.
Turn something in. It is ok to sometimes slack off in quality, but if something is due, you better turn something in. Something is better than nothing. Getting extensions on assignments for no reason will make the teacher think you are lazy, or donât care about their class. Every single essay and worksheet does not have to be your best work, but make sure you fill the basic assignment requirements, and it should be enough.Â
Extra. Credit. Some classes donât offer this, but if they do, just freaking do it man. Knowing you can miss an assignment because you did extra credit earlier is the best feeling, especially when doing that assignment would have meant losing sleep.Â
Plan (sort of). I have a bullet journal where I write important assignments down. As I said, there are some assignments not worth your time that you can half-ass. The ones I write down are the ones I need to do well. If you write down every. last. assignment. you will burn out and stop planning altogether.Â
Sometimes, go above and beyond. You know that subject you really like? With an awesome teacher? Spend time on it. Make your project extra beautiful, and read ahead in the textbook. Watch video lectures online, and maybe even make a studyblr post about it. Your extra work might not be turned in for credit, but it will make you feel a whole lot more knowledgeable on the subject. Do this for classes you hate, too. Maybe itâs not as bad as you think it is. The extra effort might allow you to see the beauty in a subject you used to despise.Â
Be real with yourself (again). This past semester, I had a B+ for a few months in a subject I really love. I wasnât mad, and I didnât stress about it, because, honestly? It doesnât really matter. Eventually I brought the grade up again, but it would be fine to me either way.Â
Hello, people! The time has come: I will teach you the secret to study for three days and remember everything for your test. This is a hardcore studying session so I would recommend to only do it when you are truly freaking the fuck out. Now, I must tell you: Itâs gonna involve some hard work, so sit comfortably because weâre about to start:
REMINDER: YOU DONâT NEED TO DO THIS IN A ROLL. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE DURING THE Â COURSE OF THE DAY.Â
REMINDER 2: REMEMBER TO EAT, DRINK WATER AND GET ENOUGH REST. YOU DONâT NEED TO FORGET ABOUT YOUR HEALTH IN ORDER TO GET BETTER GRADES.Â
DAY 1
First reading of your main textbook
Second reading + highlightingÂ
Research more about the topic (internet, other books, talk to your friends, etc)
Resume everything (notes)
Do a mind map of main pointsÂ
If what youâre studying needs something to be memorized âword by wordâ (such as: meanings, processes, references, chemical reactions, etc), write it down and put it on your wall. Youâre gonna read it several times during the day.Â
Write down the topics and key words on a reference paper (youâre gonna take this paper everywhere, forcing your memory to expand from those simple key words)Â
Review your notesÂ
Do ten exercises (questions)
Review your notes + exercisesÂ
Watch a video classÂ
Youâre done for today. Good job. Now rest, tomorrow is a new day.Â
DAY 2
Review your notes
Read them out loud
Read them again, but this time record yourself
Listen to it. Twice.Â
Review your notes before bed
DAY 3
Review your notes + listen to your recordings from yesterday
Do 30 exercises (questions)
Review notes + exercisesÂ
Listen to your recordings again
Review your notes one more time.
FANTASTIC JOB! Now itâs your time to rest. If youâre feeling like it, read your notes one more time before bed.Â
One more time, this is a heavy studying session, and not supposed to be done all the time. Remember to take care of your health and take several breaks during the day. If you donât need, there is no need to do everything listed here.Â
Good luck!!!Â
a honest study guide
As I am usually a straight A student, I thought Iâd share some of my favourite study âhacksâ, but be warned: i will not be gentle with you. I am going to tell you the brutal truth about getting great marks, because it is no use sugarcoating the fact that school is actually super hard work!Â
discipline beats motivation
to be honest no matter how perfect your/any studyblr might be, looking at a blog will unfortunately never ever motivate you to study as hard as you will have to to get an A. Studyblrs may inspire you, but the one thing which will really get you studying is discipline. So, as cruel as it may sound, force yourself to be productive and you will get some serious work done.
have no social life
⌠at least on some days. if you find it difficult to fit your studies into your social life, try reversing the whole thing. Donât make plans with your friends on days during which you want/need to study. This definitely isnât fun, I know, but for me, I often find it difficult to get work done when I have plans later that day as firstly, getting a certain amount of work done within a strict time limit stresses me out and secondly, you should definitely use all the time you can get - especially shortly before the upcoming exam.
all-nighters equal bad time management
truth be told good students normally wonât have to pull all nighters as sleep is very important for not only your concentration but also for your health. To make sure that you get enough rest you should start studying as early as possible, for me that is normally one week before the particular exam, and plan what you will do on which day without trying to fit everything into the last minute. That will leave you relaxed, well rested and concentrated on the day of your exam.
find something that keeps you going
i usually drink a lot of coffee when i am studying, because during a hard study session i need to stay focused and awake. If you donât like coffee, you could also go for black tea or green tea or simply some fruit as it is very important to get some vitamins (or in my case caffeine) in your system to not fall asleep while working.
ask for help
whether you swap notes with your colleagues or you mail the professor some questions doesnât matter at all. Itâs only important that you accept that you probably wonât be able to do everything on your own, so find yourself a study partner, ask questions when something seems unclear to you or even get a tutor. And definitely donât be embarrassed about asking questions! Nobody knows everything.
no distractions
studying is boring and you might find that music makes it a little more exciting, but often listening to music or taking a lot of breaks is only keeping you from getting work done. So suck it up and study either silently, to classical music or to relaxing noises you can find on the internet. Also try not to take too many breaks. Donât overwork yourself, of course, but also try to stay focused for longer than 15 minutes as this will allow you to be more productive and donât study with friends if you end up chit-chatting to each other instead of working.
write everything down
even if you have a good memory, you wonât be able to remember a thing after class, so suck it up, donât talk to your desk mate and focus on writing everything important down what the teacher says. even if you get handed enough material there will still be things which you should write down such as explanations, examples and additional information. that will help you later on to understand what you are actually studying.
you absolutely need to study
donât ever think, no matter how much attention youâve paid in class or how good you are at a certain subject, that you wonât have to study. there is always work to get done and if you are already good at something work on being better to excel at academics.Â
(i added fun gifs, because it seemed a little too harsh - good luck, babes, you are going to pass your exams)Â

How to deal with a concept you do not understand
Breathe. If you are starting to feel flustered, stressed, frustrated, take a break. The more angsty you feel, the less likely youâll be able to focus on the actual concept. Take a break, study something else, but make sure when youâre trying to tackle a difficult concept, you are calm, cool, and collected.Â
Re-read your notes. This one is obvious but ask yourself if youâre actually re-reading your notes or if youâre just glancing over the page. Sometimes it helps to rewrite your notes in a different way.Â
Read someoneâs elseâs notes. Sometimes reading something in a different way can help you understand a concept you are struggling with.Â
Ask someone but make sure whoever youâre asking wonât confuse you further. To be safe, ask a TA, your professor, or an experienced tutor. I cannot count how many times Iâve casually asked someone to explain a concept and I end up leaving 10x more confused. Make sure youâre asking the right people.Â
Google it. Seriously. There are many amazing resources out there that may be as close as the click of a button.Â
Re-watch a lecture, if possible. Some professors webcast their lectures and going over your notes while listening to them is really helpful when you canât quite grasp a concept.Â
Be patient. Sometimes, youâll need to work at a concept over a number of days and thatâs perfectly okay. The most important part is that you try your best to understand and that you realize everyone learns at different paces.Â
Do NOT wait until the last minute to tackle a difficult concept. Procrastinating on this kind of stuff right up before an exam can increase your anxiety and deplete your self-confidence. Make sure you tackle these difficult concepts as soon as you encounter them so you can take your time to understand everything.Â
