This is not-a-professional review #1 - Cozy Grove
Cozy Grove
After around 10 hours of playing this game (in about 15 days), I thought it was the right moment to release my opinion on the internet.
Cozy Grove is a life-sim game; your character, which you can customise at the very beginning of the game, lost his/her boat and ended up on this haunted island/forest. It’s not as spooky as it sounds, as a matter of fact this is a family-friendly game and everything is extremely cute. Nevertheless, in the game you’ll have to deal with themes such as death, regret, depression, abandonment and loneliness - but still…in a “cute”, slightly sugar-coated way.
The gameplay itself is pretty smooth, as simple as it is, and it’s all about crafting and finding items that will allow the ghosts to “enlight” themselves, adding colour to the area around them in the island.
The character lives in a tent, built in a small camp in the south of the island. There is the possibility to customize the tent and enlarge it, similarly to animal crossing, paying with old coins. You can basically place animals (yes, animals) and items, including trees and bushes, everywhere around the island.
PRO
Compared to animal crossing, the story has a stronger impact and the daily tasks you have to accomplish will keep you hooked and interested in the game
Graphics: adorable
Price: pretty cheap
CONS
It gets repetitive and redundant, but the amount of items you can craft and find will kind of make up for this inconvenient
Villagers themselves are kind of repetitive in their dialogues
The possibility of customizing the environment, however large, is limited by the reduced space, in the face of a considerable quantity of items
FINAL VERDICT
Personally, I find it a relaxing and cozy game, designed for those rainy days (or sunny days, I don’t really mind the weather outside) that I will probably continue to play, although not as diligently as in the early days.
My rating: 3/5
Isn’t it what we all need in here? Astronaut owls and old books.
13/100 days of productivity: The new bullet journal just arrived and you guys THE QUALITY I love it (it’s a gridded Lemome hardcover journal) and I planet some beans because why not, they’ll make some amazing green decor in just a few days!
Library studying - notes and anatomy atlas - aaaand a cute kitten. I don’t blame you if you find the right picture more aesthetically pleasing.
10/10/19 🍁🍂 Studying for my ear-nose-throat anatomy exam AND decorating my apartment in a more autumn-ish style. Halloween decorations coming soon. I moved about 5 months ago and this new place feels more like home now. (Moving is so stressful, isn’t it?)
Medicine is my lawful wife, and literature is my mistress. When I get fed up with one, I spend the night with the other.

Always make sure to have some quality study-breaks. Luigi’s Mansion got me obsessed these last few weeks. I mean, come on, Luigi is adorable and I really can’t wait for the 3rd chapter of this trilogy to come out (October the 31st).

So guys, I just opened my first YouTube channel. It will not be JUST about study and college and med-school life but also about all the things I like to do in my free time like binge watching tv shows, reading and enjoying nerdy stuff so go check it out if you want some positive - indie - autumn - fairy - happy vibes 😻😁 and by the way, this is just the INTRO, I'll start uploading new videos every week from October 3rd :)
So guys I'm thinking about editing and shooting some pics to create wallpapers both for laptops and iPhones since I recently got a new camera!!. Now, what would you like to have written on them?
My monthly spread for August! July was a pretty tough month - here’s hoping August brings some good vibes and well-deserved peace - for me and everyone else!!
