I'm kind of wondering if I should start posting WoF here. traditionally this blog has been kind of a way to follow my art but avoid the dragons lol, but idk why I really did that. people know me for my WoF and with the enshittification of a lot of places (I mean, not saying that Tumblr isn't comparatively enshittified, but I don't see a built-in ai chatbot or an ai image generator so already better than Insta and DA by a mile) but I think that maybe people would like me to post the rest of my canon fanart here too. I unfortunately don't have much free time anymore and so any fanart I do is WoF. and you can just sort someone's blog by tags, right? it's not like it makes the rest of my fanart any less findable. hmmm.
Hi! I just had a few questions about the "Ten Years of Fire" map? Just looked at the form and had a few questions. (First being discord related.) Is there any way to communicate besides discord? I'm old enough for discord/old enough for the map call, just don't have discord. Second question; is there a particular level people have to have with animation to be accepted for a part/backup? Or have to have animated a certain amount of animations to be considered to participate?
Three years and one month late to this, good lord, I am so sorry, I just figured out asks. I hope that whoever you are, you reached out to me somewhere else and got these questions answered! However, for posterity (since, believe it or not, TYOF is still being worked on):
Unfortunately, since YouTube doesn't have DMs, Discord is how we communicate. Since there are over 100 parts I can't keep track of who's on what platform, I have to consolidate and Discord was the platform of choice because it's really good for "sorting" things into multiple channels (I also inherited the Discord from the previous hosts, so there is a lot of stuff in that server so we were kind of locked in haha). I was in your shoes once where I couldn't participate in a MAP because I didn't have Discord and it really bummed me out so I'm sorry. (I actually ended up making an account just for that MAP, without my parents knowing, back when I was 16. That got me into some trouble for not asking first lol)
It is more about "level" than "amount". No need to be a professional or have been in any MAPs before, but we aren't considered "beginner-friendly" because we expect a bit of animation experience. Our MAP part playlist here is a great way to browse examples of other participants' work for a sense of it!

So I am almost three whole years late to this, I apparently don't know how to use tumblr and JUST figured out asks. The answer would've been yes, I doubt you need it anymore lol. But for posterity I will say, I am okay with my canon fanart (of any fandom) being used as long as:
it is on platforms that I have an account on (tumblr, insta, bsky) (NOT tiktok, pinterest)
you tag said account
there is something 'transformative' being done with it and it's not just reposting my art, whether it be used for something like this, an edit, a compilation, etc.
specifically when it comes to MAP parts, I'd like people to wait to use it until the MAP is fully released first
