Who says you can’t include your DOGS (pets in general) in your DESTINATION wedding?! (Or at your wedding that isn’t at a pet-friendly venue)✨🐾🌴 While Gryffindor, Maxx, and Earl weren’t on the beach with us all in person (wouldn’t that have been a sight though?! I could totally visualize it 🤣❤️) — anywho!!! Stephanie + Russell included SO MANY incredible details to make it sure they were properly represented 🐶🐶🐶. - LARGER THAN LIFE CUTOUTS on sticks ✨✨✨ My personal FAVORITE — these were excellent for photo ops of course, but also sticking them in the sand during the ceremony - in front of their head table for dances / toast - and of course everyone couldn’t resist dancing with these cuties so they were on the dance floor in spirit all night long. 🤣🤘CUTEST IDEA EVER. ✨ The cutouts also made it possible for the pups to be in our massive EVERYONE AT THE WEDDING photo we love to do 🥰✨ - Memorial Table ✨In addition to their human loved ones who’ve passed — their first furbaby loves were also represented. 🌈 - CAKE TOPPER ✨ HOLY ADORABLENESS. I don’t even have a wedding to plan but after seeing this I want sculptures of all our kids just because! 🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️ What an epic keepsake. - DONATE ✨ Their reception tables had signs that said if you want the couple to kiss you need to donate to their favorite rescue (Great Dane Rescue of MN + WI) — @gdromn 🐾. Feel free to donate upon reading this post I’m sure they’ll happily kiss again / or even kiss a nearby pup. As these two just took in a couple of emergency fosters. SERIOUSLY, we LOVE. ALL. OF. THESE. DETAILS. 🙌❤️🐶 Additional IDEAS — - SOCKS 🐶 with your pups’ faces all over them. ⚡️ Today is International Harry Potter Day ⚡️ I’m super excited about it because it means I definitelyyy should share even more of Emily + Chloe’s wedding photos at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter 🥰❤️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ I’ll never forget this adventure. The way these two love each other is just = 🥰🥰🥰🥰. The minute the doors of the basilica opened so Daniel could see Alicia for the first time on their wedding day there was a wave of emotion you could literally feel travel throughout the room. (tears all around - Daniel, the moms, guests… ❤️) From exploring Minneapolis with their border collies Henry + Breezy (their whole world 🐾❤️) during round 1 of engagements, to ice skating adventures ⛸ during round 2 of engagements, to finally THIS moment, it was truly amazing to be able to see such important pieces of their lives all come together at once. From the sentimental moments to the goofy ones - we had a blast with A + D ❤️❤️❤️. Their wedding day was so relaxed and filled with joy, we were able to stroll around the basilica, Loring Park, and even head over to the sculpture garden - BUT FIRST, @dunnbroscoffee was a delightful necessity! ☕️ ✈️ Also, via their instas, Tyler and I followed along as they posted epic images from their honeymoon. (( We were blown away by the fact their wedding attire got some MAJOR miles and went WITH THEM to Italy to take some photos in, and to wear while they got their marriage blessed by the pope! ✨)) Every detail - engagements, wedding day, honeymoon - were planned to be a beautiful reflection of their story / shared interests / love for one another. They did it so well. ✨ LOVE LETTER ✨ “Kasey….. 🥺 I am about as speechless as Brad was during our first look! THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! Surround yourself with the ones you love most on your wedding day… • Family… • Friends… … but I have to add, if you have the ability to include your FURBABIES as well… DEFINITELY do it 🖤🐾 @chloesayspetme was included throughout getting ready, first looks and then the start of formals before she headed out, and my goodness… that entire time it was filled with laughter and smiles. From sitting so properly on mom’s wedding dress (of course) lol 😂… to awkward sitting (seen here)… giving paw like the goodest girl she is… and just prancing around like this was HER mansion (cause clearly, it was 😉). It was so dang cute. And I think pups present definitely help with the nerves of the day. ✨ The MOST Incredible Experience ✨ One night I was editing to music videos and the video for “Another Life” came on by @miwband - a band I had photographed live dozens of times when I was primarily a music photographer… and it took me to another time in my life when I was still figuring out my dreams… then it reminded me of how the same shows brought me to my husband who is now my business partner - and now we do this thing together… talk about a sentimental night... The video featured a couple dancing all in black and I kept catching myself thinking, hot damn, this would make for a gorgeous wedding theme… (wedding photog brain kicked in) - I messaged Penny (our bride here) to see if she’d be down as she reminded me of the actress in the video. She was on board! I was finally going to be able to see my past (music photography) - the inspiration behind this entire look - and my present - weddings / documenting modern love stories - meet in this gorgeous visual way, back in May. Erin is a coordinator I’ve worked with before and she literally tied the DREAM TEAM together. This vision would not have come together without these insanely talented vendors. And I pray our paths all cross again soon. 🤘 I was sharing sneak peeks of this on TikTok not expecting them to go viral 🙈🖤 BUT they did. It was so cool to see people supporting this vision. I’ve always felt like an oddball in the wedding community even 12 yrs in, because of my look/style/editing/process… but this was my sign to stay true to what I do / the way I do it / to who I am. ✨ Love, Your Future __.✨ This is your sign to start that letter you’ve been debating writing. ✍️ You don’t have to include them in your first look like London + Luke did here (however, I am obsessed with how cute this turned out) 🙈🥰… SERIOUSLY. You can exchange them the night before in private - to read before each of you start your wedding day, include them in your ceremony / vows, read them to your videographer in private before so each of you can hear your sweet words later, they can accompany a sentimental gift the morning of, the options are endless… But the best part… you’ll get to keep these to look back on for years to come. 🖤 (If you haven’t looked up an anniversary box unity ceremony, I recommend doing so if you’re digging this letter writing cuteness. These go great with those too!) 🔒 Many couples opt to skip writing their own vows, so having a place to still get all those lovey doves feels out is really cool. While they’re obviously sentimental and romantic in nature already, they can also be humorous - cue the inside jokes… or take each other down memory lane… share the moment you KNEW you loved each other, some of your favorite qualities about one another, and also your hopes and dreams for the future. In addition to the tears + giggles we often see when letters are exchanged or read, we also see the nerves start to melt away INSTANTLY… so first look, or no first look… if you’re someone who might get a bit anxious - I think arranging for an exchange of some calming and loving words is a great idea for you to consider including on your wedding day. And again, being able to look back on those wedding day/pre wedding day feelings potentially decades from now is so freakin’ cool. Definitely keep them… (( PRO TIP: If your words are super duper intimate (or saucy), so much so you don’t feel comfortable having your photographer document them up close… I highly recommend still taking a photo of these (front + back) to store somewhere just in case something happens to the original copies. ✨ Hello, hello🤘 It’s been a minute since we introduced ourselves last and there’s a lot of new faces around here! Fast + random facts - ready, set, go!!! ⚡️ We are Kasey + Tyler Rajotte. Basically the most dog-obsessed wedding photographers you’ll ever meet. We know that’s a big claim… but you’ll see why… 😉❤️🐶 ⚡️ Our pack of rescues are all named after Marvel characters… Loki, Nova, Marvel, Storm, Gambit + Nebula… yes, you counted correctly. 😂 ⚡️ We also have Goose the cat, but she’s basically a bonus dog. 🐱 ⚡️ 12 years of 📸 weddings / pets for me (Kasey), and in that time I’ve also had mini careers in music/tour + mma photography, quite the unique mix on the outside looking in, right? - but once you really think about it - it just shows my love for capturing raw and real moments… 🤘. ⚡️ Met Tyler through the music photography leg of my journey. Specifically through All That Remains + The Plain White T’s. It’s a very interesting tale 😅… but hey, it all turned out! 💍 Once he said he loves dogs and we realized we both had 2 rat terriers growing up (so we could swap stories on their quirks)… we decided it was fate. ⚡️ I wish we had a cooler answer to, “when you’re not photographing weddings what do you enjoy doing?” - But we keep it CHILL. Friends, family, barbecues, boating, spoiling dogs with road trips and SO MANY movies / video game nights just being together… sorry, no backpacking through Europe or frolicking in sand dunes… ⚡️ When we do travel for fun it’s usually somewhere tropical where we can just relax with some margs and tacos on a dog-friendly patio… and then head to a dog beach afterwards. 🌴 ⚡️While driving somewhere if there’s a cute dog we both point it out to each other and proceed to wave and praise them even though they cannot hear us 🤣🤣🤣. “LOOK AT THAT GOOD BOY!” // “SO MAJESTIC” 🐾 ⚡️We work with so many pets at weddings and engagements we tell folks to just forget their lint rollers at home, editing out dog hair and leashes is just the norm for us now haha.
