I hate being a history major cuz inevitably people love to catch you not knowing something. Like I’m sorry I don’t know EVERY. PIECE. of the entire history of the world.

It’s probably just me being insecure but the amount of people who try to quiz you on things is kinda annoying. Please let me be. I just like to read cool history stuff. No, I didn’t know that King Henry V’s wife’s dowry was 600,000 crowns. I’m sorry.

what people think studying history is like: i know everything about every date from the early roman republic till the 1980s, if you ask me when something happened i will be able to easily tell you the date as well as what caused the event and the outcome

what studying history really is like: i googled the year 1854 to find out whether the thing already existed back then. when did WWII end again?? lmao do i look like i know who was president in 1972? wikipedia is a thing my dude

September 23rd, 2018 – In my grandfather’s old study, surrounded by dictionaries and encyclopedias (he was a French teacher). I love the wooden furniture, and the soft sound of the rain outside the window. I’m reading part of a book about diglossia and bilingualism in Arabic (my bachelor paper topic!!). I think this is what Sundays are for.

Second day of uni was much better! I’m figuring out how I’ll have to work this year, and this makes me feel relieved 😅

Master’s years are pretty different from the Bachelor’s so I have to adapt! This is also the reason why i’m still not posting a study routine or a what’s in my backpack because I’m still testing what will work best for me and I want to share real thoughts and real content with you!

7/100 days of productivity | 7 september 2018  this morning i had a revision, so i woke up early to fix the last couple of things before going to uni (one day i will stop doing everything last minute, i swear)  this afternoon is been just notes, notes, notes for the exam.  i also had the time to make a good vegetarian lunch + a not so deserved nap, so i am quite satisfied  ~ (rainymood softly playing in the background because i am craving autumn weather so bad)
