langblrs and multilingual people of tumblr,
here is a wonderful way you can get involved:
Letters for Black Lives is a multilingual, culturally-aware initiative which is working to create a space to hold open, honest conversations about police brutality, racial justice and anti-blackness in immigrant families and communities predominantly in the U.S. as well as other countries.
In 2016, they published letters in these following languages.
Arabic
Bahasa Indonesia
Bahasa Malaysia
Bengali
Brazilian
Chinese (Simplified)
Chinese (Traditional)
Hindi
Hmong (Green dialect)
Hmong (White dialect)
Farsi
French
Japanese
Khmer
Korean
Russian
Spanish
Tagalog
Tamil
Telugu
Thai
Urdu
Vietnamese
Young Asian Americans and anyone else who comes from a different cultural or linguistic background can utilize these resources to start conversations with their families about the Black Lives Matters movement and racial injustice. They’re working on 2020 version of the letter and they are looking for volunteers to translate this new letter in as many languages possible. Even if you aren’t proficient in another language besides English, you can still contribute.

September 20th, 2019 — Oxford, UK.
I sat for hours at a lovely cafe on the east side of town this morning; had a delightful time with a dear new friend. Truthfully, I was feeling quite inspired so I journaled about the most recent events of my study abroad experience in Oxford. I am so thankful for these moments and memories.

08.11.2018; planning day, trying to get on the rythm of my new timetables. my mornings are shorter, but it’s so refreshing to be able to do things after work, i can even study!
also, today i have another date with the french library guy, so i guess that even if i’m not studying tonight that kind of counts as language practise hahaha i just hope i’m not too dead after my shift.
Spending my breaks in between class drinking coffee and reading my books in my university's coffee shop. A little break between engineering and science while savoring great literature.
Currently reading: The unbearable lightness of being by Milan Kundera.
