It’s been some time, huh?
hi guys! I’m honestly not sure if anyone is still here, I haven’t logged in here in months and my activity line has been flat for ages. I decided to log in because I feel like I have some things to share, some thoughts and reflections and I feel those might be relatable for some of you.
A lot has changed over the past few years. The world is changing and so are we, we’re growing and maturing. When I first joined tumblr, I was 15 years old, now I’m almost 21 and this blog is over 3 years old. I used to feel like what I think and what I speak is useless, but it has also changed. I feel more confident than ever and I want to use this to have conversation with you about our lives.
I want to talk to you about privacy, social media, fashion, veganism, and obviously (as always) about studying and the power of knowledge. I’m honestly pretty sure no one will read my posts, but if you’re here reading this, please let me know your questions or thoughts regarding these topics. I would love to know what is your first thought when you think about fashion or how concerned are you about privacy. Let’s talk!
I’ll write something here very soon and post it, so stay tuned. I hope you’re all having a good day!
I got my heart broken and I survived, I failed 3 courses in university and graduated, I got rejected in the very first job I applied for and got promoted yesterday, I went through hard times with my family but then two years later, we laughed our hearts out over lunch, The closest friends disappointed me several times but I made new friends and loved them with all my heart. I did it once, I can do it again.
I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY
ok are u ready? imma remind you of a tragic and confusing and upsetting fact
there are ppl out there who never learn their partner’s native language
So I can’t stop crying after watching this.
this is by far the most incredible thing I’ve watched in days
This is why I try to see the best in people. This is why I will always take the side of people trying to make this world a better place. Incredible story.
@riqhteous
here’s a reminder that if you don’t have muji pens or have staedtler fineliners or drink pretty lattes each morning with perfect lighting, your studyblr is just as good or maybe even better than ones that do. expensive shit is worthless. at the end of the day, the studying gets done, whether on moleskine notebooks or loose leaf from office max, and that’s the point of studyblr. study. work hard and I believe in you!
I’m a Big Fan of watching people grow and become healthier and happier versions of themselves
I’ve got my favorite lavender candle lit, earl grey tea, and Mozart playing in the background. I’m ready for some studying! 👊🏻
Set some goals. Stay quiet about it. Smash the shit out of them. Clap for your own damn self.

21.4.16 One of my tutors really upset me on Tuesday by telling me my project was going in the wrong direction and I needed to change my entire brief. I’m okay, but I’m refocusing my efforts and changing the direction of my project. On the plus side, my sketchbook got used as another good example today!
When it’s hot outside, I don’t concentrate very well. All I want to do is sit back and relax in the sun, preferably with an iced beverage in my hand. But, summer also means exams, and as much as it pains me to say it, we can’t spend all our time just chilling in the sunshine. So I’ve compiled some advice for all of you, like me, who can’t study well in summer. I’ve decided there are three main problems: concentration, keeping cool, and motivation. Here are my tips:
Concentration:
Take advantage of the bright mornings and get up early to do some work. This should be before the full heat of the day kicks in so you should be less distracted.
Remove all other distractions.
Don’t face a window when you’re working. Otherwise you’ll spend the whole day staring out at the beautiful weather wishing you were enjoying it.
Give yourself little rewards for staying focussed for so long. Step outside for a quick jaunt around the garden, or make a smoothie. If you get distracted, you’re not allowed.
Try and stick to any normal study routine that you already have. Don’t change what you’re doing just because it’s sunny outside.
I get restless when it’s sunny, so try and take advantage of that. Rather than spending all morning on one topic, change things up a bit, and vary your studying strategies.
Keeping Cool:
People who are exposed to temperatures higher than what they’re used to tend to be less productive. Keeping cool therefore is essential to getting your work done quickly so you can go outside!
Keep a bottle of iced water beside you at all times. You could try this trick of filling up your water bottle half way, putting it in the freezer overnight, then in the morning filling up the bottle with water.
Eat lots of fruit, vegetables, and other foods with a high percentage of water. My favourite thing to do is to freeze grapes - refreshing and energising!
My preference would be that you study inside, because if it’s really hot you might be in danger of sun burn, or even heat stroke. It might be tempting to sit outside and do work, but you’ll be a lot more productive indoors.
Keep the window open to tempt in any breeze! It’s very refreshing. You could wet a t-shirt and wear it if it gets uncomfortably hot.
If it gets really hot, just stop working. Don’t over strain yourself. Be safe.
Motivation:
Give yourself rewards for working so hard! For instance, promise yourself that after you do 4 hours work, you can spend the rest of the day enjoying the weather.
Remind yourself that once exams are over, you can relax. You’ve got to keep on pushing and then it’ll be over.
Write little motivational messages on post it notes and put them on your wall. Every time you look up, you’ll read the message to yourself and know that you can do it!
Look at motivational quotes and messages every time you feel distracted. Here’s my motivation tag on my blog.
TRUST YOURSELF AND YOUR ABILITY, YOU CAN DO IT!
There are so many good feelings in this world and finishing your assignment definitely is one of them.Ready for presentation yayy!!

{95/100 Days of Productivity}
School ended early and I made use of the spare time by cooking something nice and then doing some research on jobs I’d like to have someday. I ended up crying because of all the university requirements and the fees. Maybe I can just… I don’t even know. Be a dog or something.
Thank you for this. I think it helped me in making a career choice decision.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. It’s how you learn.
