recently–secondhand book purchases with the former owner’s name written in beautiful cursive on the flyleaf, freshly dusted bookshelves, my cat basking in morning sunlight, and fifteen year old me who wrote “love in the intentionality of actions, choices and thoughts” on an old favourite book.

as much as i love medical school, i really missed doing nothing all day but reading long novels, plays and essays on art and philosophy and such.

also, i repotted most of my plants yesterday and they look so much happier now 🌱

my neighbour is renovating his apartment, so i had to flee our apartment to get away from the insane noise :-) hence, i worked on my thesis in a coffee shop and the library today.

4.1.22 April means the beginning of spring break, end of midterms, and an exciting announcement… my younger sister will be joining me at Cornell next fall!! Our family feels very lucky to have gone from immigrant grandparents, and only one college educated parent, to two daughters aiming for doctorates. She doesn’t have a tumblr, but look forward to posts featuring “LittleArchitectureStudies”!
