a dreamy birthday weekend in london ✨
it's normal to feel tired after you've done a lot of emotional labor. if you feel exhausted after having to deal with a difficult person, mediate between friends, or comfort someone you care about, that is valid!! that is a regular reaction to have! emotional labor is that - labor. no one was made to do it constantly, so give yourself time to rest and recharge. you deserve it!
Toasting croissants for breakfast, clouds like paintings, and an order of notebooks with a (free) monogram, just a few things bringing me joy in a week I’ve spent largely feeling anxious.
I hope you’re all doing as well as can be. What is bringing you a bit of joy at the moment?
I’m thinking about putting up some postcards on my wall but I’m wondering if that’ll be distracting? what do you think?
Summer Studying Challenge by @myhoneststudyblr
7th July - What did you do during the summer when you were a young child?
I grew up in a really rural area with not the best parents, so I basically just ran around the yard trying to catch toads unsupervised. Sometimes I would stay at my grandma’s house by the lake, which are some of my happiest memories.
I read constantly all summer until I moved out.
my last week of lessons before exams! i’m almost halfway through my uni degree but i don’t really want to think about that right now
