having coffee with annie ernaux was the first thing i did back home today 🌷a little bittersweet because i already miss france so much
Just got back, and I’m already planning our next trip 😇 One of the things I love most about poolside vacations is the unharried reading time 📚 I like to take a look at all the thrillers and mysteries that have been released in the past year or so, and then I give myself permission to download as many as I can read on my e-reader before we touch back down at O’Hare.
I’ve tried bringing more substantial, physical books on vacation with me before (this time included), but it’s always turned out to be a waste of suitcase space. There’s nothing like sinking into some pulpy fiction with all the twists and turns and (very obvious) plot holes 🖤

spent the afternoon in costa with my mum; she read and i studied some more psychology ☕️ everything was so peaceful & calming, definitely one of my new favourite things to do!
a little cafe hidden away in the undercroft near our flat, which I’ve been visiting on my morning walk
[20/03/2018 - 21/03/2018] • 28 - 29/100 Days of Productivity
Yesterday was such a quiet day at work so I spent most of the day researching for my assignment. Today was focused on practising my presentation, refining my moot notes, and getting through the additional content for contract law (and I somehow got through everything!).
I had my first ever moot tonight and it went so well! I managed to speak authoritatively and clearly, and I answered every question thrown at me and refuted appellant counsel!! Reconsidering joining the mooting competition at uni…
saturday 9th april | some pure maths notes

June 09 2022 | I was in desperate need of a monitor upgrade, so I decided to finally go ahead and buy myself a 27-inch Philips. Really underestimated how much of a difference a bigger screen and upgraded technology makes for your work experience. Really happy so far!

Haven’t updated in a while, but I’m still studying hard. My tutor and I spent a couple sessions reviewing the tenses, post-positions, plural and oblique forms, how to form questions, imperative sentences, negations, and other beginner topics. Now I’m learning the subjunctive. He’s very happy with my progress so far and I’m pretty proud of myself, too.
I got this coffee machine for my desk. The thought of having a cappuccino gets me in the studying mood. Don’t judge my foam pouring skills :)

One of many amazing bookshops we came across whilst on our trip to Scotland, great selection of highlands history books and fiction
let me just snuggle up with a warm cup of coffee and a good book 📖☕️🍁🕯
Working in here today was bliss, there was barely anyone else around. Lockdown slowly lifting and the sunnier weather in London recently is bringing me hope.
