hiiii, happy november to everyone! my university gave us a 5-day academic break because recently, a strong typhoon hit the country. this break is to help us cope with the aftermath of the typhoon.

i know this isn’t exactly for me, but lately my mental health has been constantly going on a downward slope. that typhoon also caused me so much anxiety because our province was also going to be affected. thankfully, we weren’t affected much. i’m praying for the families that were greatly affected by this disaster and i hope our government lends a hand, for once, to these people.

it’s been a little while, huh? i’m three weeks into the semester but it kinda feels like it’s been months. i’m being quite productive and adapting well to my new study habits and this new learning setup. i still have days when i feel unmotivated, but i guess you can’t not have those days, right?

i started school again last october 5! i had a rough week, in all honesty. i couldn’t get my mental health to work with me while i tried to get used to having classes. but that’s okay, i guess. it’s just the first week anyway. i just hope the next weeks are kinder to me :(

also, i got myself a digital timer. i used to use my phone timer and it works. sometimes. because most times i just get distracted and start scrolling through social media. i got this little baby to help me be mindful of the time i spend studying so my phone doesn’t have to do it for me anymore.

i finished this topic today and now it’s almost dinner time, yay! i’m using a new paper which is smaller than the other ones i was using, but the lines are thinner. ngl i thought my handwriting was gonna be prettier on this paper (my handwriting is just better on thin lines) but it seems like i have to do some getting used to :(

whew, this subject! it’s fun and enjoyable until you start answering problems, then it’s headache time >< it may also be because the book i’m using as a reference isn’t that good and it’s missing so many important information but it’s what my professor required (shocking trivia: he wrote it 😃👍🏼) so i guess 🤷🏼‍♀️.

anyways, i’m taking a rest and letting my headache subside. after that, i’m reading up on transfer taxation concepts and principles. i hope everyone is having a lovely day ❤️

when I was in high school a comment I got very often was that I should get used to long classes and long exams because that’s what university is like but now with online classes more ppl realized that we can not concentrate on a screen for so long and the thing is maybe it’s not only a screen thing maybe 4 hour long classes are not healthy and maybe we do not learn as good with classes like that I am tired of education being a challenge and something you have to overcome education should be something nice something to enjoy and teaching should be as smooth as possible and not a way to make people stressed and sick just to let the best one survive

it’s ok to do things slowly. work for days on a single drawing, then don’t show it to anyone. learn three new words of a new language each day. read a book slowly and thoughtfully, enjoying every sentence like it were a movie. absorb new knowledge with intent and ease it into your memory. notice all the quiet sounds in songs. walk slowly and notice the sounds of birds and colors of leaves. it’s not bad to slow down and enjoy the moment. there’s no need to rush.

it’s sunday! i make my sundays my rest days and so i don’t pressure myself to be productive on sundays. if i feel like studying, i will but otherwise, i’ll just take time to relax before another stressful week.

today though i decided i wanted to review my notes from yesterday. i use the cornell method for my notes, so i just wrote down questions to help me review when i need to.
