QUESTIONS ABOUT MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Hello everyone.
May I ask you how is it like to actually work for ministry of foreign affairs? Is there any thing that you did not expect before getting this job? How do you feel about this job? I am really curious cuz I wanna take this path.
Thank you so much!
DAY 3. PROJECT 9.0
Reading 30 pages of a piece related to economics stuffs drained me.
To make up for that, I decided to "reward" myself with something fun. I used ChatGPT to find a game that required an advance level of English. There were many recommendations; however, I'm kinda obsessed with London (and my phone had quite a modest storage) so I chose "Fallen London", which can be played on website.
Although I have not played for too long, I can ensure that it's worth it. The storyline is far from original and the game included a whole bunch of interesting vocabularies.
Look forward to my next post!
(P/S: I have just found a career that suits me! It is PR. However, I dreamt of working in a governmental organisation or department so I adjusted it a little bit - maybe working for Department of Foreign Affairs is nice?)
DAY 2. PROJECT 9.0
One way to stay motivated in the process of learning a new language is to link it with something that gives you pleasure and joy.
I am still a highschooler so I really care about career orientation. To "take full advantage" of English, I made it "work" for me.
I used it to find websites and documents that suits my current interests. Then I found this cool website and wanna share it with you. https://www.mynextmove.org/explore/ip
This will help you with career orientation and define the job zone that is most suitable for you together with the average salary and the prospect of success.
Next if you also find this topic interesting, you can go into this link and read this https://www.weforum.org/publications/the-future-of-jobs-report-2025/. It might be overwhelming at first. Of course you are not gonna read that in one go kkk. You just need to read several pages a day and repeat that for about a fortnight, you will eventually create a good habit.
After all, you just need to get started and trust the process
Day 1. PROJECT 9.0
This is just the starting day so I did not do much.
I watched a video of simeonsquared channel today. I really recommend this yt channel cuz she is in fact a great "father" lmao. What I mean is that she has a fresh perspective on almost every aspect of life: love, success, self-growth... and teaches you the hard way.
Maybe you would say I have not done much to achieve my goal, but personally I think integrating English into your life is the best way to learn. And I am planning of gradually replacing my recent means of entertainment with something related to English.
Look forward, guys.
(P/S: I started learning how to play a rubik about 2 days ago and it is great. Although I have not mastered all the algorithms (the last ones are kinda hard to remember), I have been enjoying the process.)
Project 9.0
I am having a very, very big dream - SCORING 9.0 IN IELTS. This feels impossible, yes. But who knows if you do not even try right?
In my culture, there is this saying that "The only door that never opens is the one that is never knocked on."
The very purpose of my downloading this app is to record all my journey of self-improvement, not just learning IELTS. I wanna prove that it is never too late to get started.
