Koumyou read the scroll carefully in religious silent. Then he turned back to Ukoku: “You haven’t lost your touch, I see. Are you still selling your prose during your trips maybe? It’s very inspired.”
“It would probably impress me a bit more if it didn’t come from a man who forget his own name each time I tease him for more than 5 minutes.”
“Of course I still sell it, how else am I supposed to afford things? It’s not like heretic monks inherit your precious golden cards”
Despite the sarcastic comment he’s quite delighted Koumyou is showing appreciation for his poetry. “ I am very inspired now that I have my muse right here in front of me, it’s been a while this time.”

On seeing this in connection to you two I of course though Ukoku. And suddenly several pounds of plot bunnies fell into my lap. Of Koumyou being the ghost/demon on the other side being contacted by Sanzo or Ukoku using an ouija board or … of fucking Ukoku messing with Sanzo throw an ouija board … and just all the ouija board and demon contracts and ukoku being a dick and it is g r e a t but also whhhhyyyyy!?

“Oh, do I? Momo-chan would be so offended to hear that, haha~ but I guess spending decades with someone makes you pick some of their habits.”
Oh, how he hated how Koumyou was able to get under his skin so easily. The smile, he wanted to rip it off from his face. It didn't matter how he inherited his title, he had still been at the top of all his classes. Does that not count nothing just because Goudai was sick?
"I could have easily killed him even if he hadn't been sick."
He grabbed Koumyou's wrist when the older monk poked his forehead, now that he's a Sanzo too they are equals, he would not allow to be addressed like a child.
Goudai's nickname and the allusion at their close friendship only served to piss him even more "...That's true though. Who knows which ones you will pick with me from now on."
