Hi ! My name is Madi ( some of you may know me as hippist ) I’ve been dreaming of having a breast reduction for as long as I can rememebr. All of my teenaged years I have been forced to deal with unwelcome attention from men/boys, I’ve been objectified and sexualized I’ve been a victim of sexual harrassment and crude name calling. On top of the emotional dsitress , I deal with physical pain and I can’t enjoy the things I once loved doing in the same way. I am a very active person , but simple things like running, horseback riding, jumping on a trampoline, etc are painful and uncomfortable. My back and shoulder pains are very severe and are going to continually get worse, along with the migrains. My breasts on top of phyiscal pain also cause skin irritation and posture problems. I cant enjoy wearing tank tops or any slightly revealing clothing without wandering eyes and catcalling, etc. Throughout the years this has put a major damper on my confidence and self esteem. Affording specialty bras/bathing suits is a struggle. Insurance will cover my surgery completely due to medical purposes ( signed off by my doctor ) however my deductible is outrageously high and my family and I can not afford it. I finally got a consultation scheduled for this April and it seemed like my prayers were going to be answered, but when I heard the news I had to cancel and it devestated me. I know this may seem silly to some people, but it would be the most life changing thing for me , any donation would mean the world to me. Thank you so much !
