He's flustered when you seem so...dedicated to the idea of a Witch as your betrothed. When you ask if he's the one you've been waiting for, he immediately turns a bright red and stammers.
He...carefully admits that he's perhaps not the same Witch you're waiting for. But he...he'd want to be that, for you...he'd gladly be your husband, if you'll have him.
Should you accept the idea, he'll begin to quickly put together a wedding ceremony for you both! Perhaps...something small but nice at first. Something he can put together in a few days so that the two of you can be bound before too much time passes.

...if you accept his confession and reciprocate his feelings, he'll beam, practically (or perhaps literally) glowing from happiness. Thanking you again and again, pulling you close to him in a tight, warm hug...
