I learned in my political science class that all major famines in the 20th century and onward have been caused by oppressive groups or political situations restricting access to food, NOT natural causes like crop failure
This is literally the point that Indian economist Amartya Sen made that won him the Nobel prize in economics. As a child, he survived one of the several Bengal famines that were organised by the British colonisers in India. He developed his theory on famines, which is that they were more about distribution of food rather than production or availability of it

Translation:
Wishing you a cool and pleasant midsummer.
Summer—please just end already.
I’ve got ideas bubbling up for projects other than my anime work—things I really want to create—but they’re all just waiting in line...
So many original projects...
...on hold.
They won't make me any money,
but I just want to get my hands moving and create something... though I can't move forward until I finish the work right in front of me first.
Gotta keep pushing...
