Since starting this Style Workbook, I have noticed a difference in the way I buy clothes. While I have always emphasized buying for quality over quantity, reading about project 333 and other such minimalist style challenges made me realize how much of my small wardrobe I do not wear. As a result, I decided to inventory my wardrobe in an effort to sell items that I do not wear. With that money, I hope to plan for and purchase items that I will wear more often. In addition, I am going to cut back on the number of items I purchase. This year, I will purchase only one item per month, a grand total of twelve items, and I will spend time researching and planning each purchase. This may sound like too much work to put into something as frivolous as my wardrobe, but frankly I enjoy the process of shopping for the best combination of quality and price. Nothing I buy is cheap by any means, but I try to find a balance.
