We celebrated our Baby Shower Brunch last Sunday, 02.20.22 and Baby Duhaney is one loved little girl already! For the past week I’ve been feeling beyond grateful and blessed. Sunday Selfcare featuring STRETCH MARKS ❤️‍🩹 Ever since I shared photos showing my bare belly I’ve received non-stop messages asking about the products I’ve been using to prevent stretch marks. Whether or not you get stretch marks has a lot to do with the elasticity of your skin, how quickly you gain weight and also GENETICS. My mother had no stretch marks after having two kids so my chances of getting them are lessened 😉 I’ve been playing around with a few products throughout my pregnancy and these are my current staples: Upper Body/Chest: I am very sensitive on my chest area so I use @larocheposayusa Lipikar Eczema Cream (pictured) or their Lipikar Balm AP+. I’ve been using these products for YEARS and it’s still holding me down during this chapter of my life. Tummy: I alternate between Raw Shea Butter and @biooilusa 🙌🏽 I use the Bio Oil in the days because it absorbs so well into my skin and doesn’t transfer onto my clothes and the Shea Butter before bed. I spend maybe a minute or so gently massaging the product onto my stomach which also helps with some of the discomfort and itchiness from my stretching skin. Legs & Arms: I use @necessaire body lotion after my daily shower. It’s fragrance free and literally leaves my skin feeling smooth & hydrated ALL DAY (low key mad I left my full sized version in Jamaica😭)! And before bed I use @lushcosmetics ’SLEEPY' body lotion. It doesn’t help put me to sleep but I really find the smell relaxing 😌🧖🏽‍♀️ I still have a few months to go and stretch marks are truly the least of my worries. And if I do get them they’ll just be more proof to show that I selflessly brought life into this world, while also telling a story of how strong and beautiful of a woman I am.
