people often talk about how twilight, from charlie’s perspective is a horror. when really from pretty much everyone’s perspectives it’s a horror.

you could absolutely choose any single twilight character (ig maybe except the volturi and nomads?) and rewrite twilight from their perspective, not at all change canon and have it be a horror.

Twilight from mike newtons perspective. Sure he’s a shitty guy who likes bella for purely shallow reasons and only ends up with jessica because bella doesn’t like him. of course his main motivation for hating edward is jealousy but even He notices that the way edward looks at her is… not right. he literally says “he looks at you like he wants to eat you” WHICH IS HE DOES MIND YOU! he sees how bella is completely shattered by edward leaving her in new moon and then instantly taking him back a few months later only to announcing they’re getting married?? Edward looks at mike like he wants him dead (he does) and mike can totally sense that. His version of why it would be a horror is completely different from charlie in the sense he doesn’t actually really care for bella all that much and a lot of his motivations for being there for her are self indulgent, it would be a horror because the paranoia of edward cullen killing him for looking at bella wrong could send him crazy. he knows that there’s something Wrong with edward and the whole cullen family he just doesn’t know what…
