Sighing, Hunter moved slowly over the threshold of his suite, placing his bag on the hook he had hung by the door. Raising a hand the Dominant ran his fingers through his hair as he made his way into the living area. Lowering himself onto the sofa, he raised his arms to stretch his back. Tipping his head back, Hunter allowed his head to fall onto the back of the cushion. It had been a long day, and as much as he hated to admit or even think about it, he felt every bit of it. “Bas?” Hunter called, closing his eyes slowly. “Are you here?”
Ever since the two of them had finally made things official, it seemed like there were more and more reasons for Sebastian to stay close and keep things as stress-free for Hunter as possible. He didn’t sleep in his own room anymore, or go back to his own place after class. He went to Hunter’s, and he slept at Hunter’s. When the Dominant came home, Sebastian was in the kitchen, prepared because the other man was a very patterned person and ran on a schedule. Hearing his name called, he came within a second, the perfect coffee for Hunter with a small snack on a tray. Usually, when he approached like this in Hunter’s suite, he’d climb into his lap and affectionately drape across him, but something about his body language made him sink to his knees in front of the other man instead as to not put pressure on his hip, tray presented on Hunter’s knees. “I’m here. Didn’t you hear? I have a whole drawer here. And a toothbrush. Can’t live without those,” he teased.
