So i participated in artfight for the first time this year and it was honestly really fun! I mostly attacked Homestuck related ocs because of hyperfixation, go figure, but I also did a lot of 'make/design me an oc' characters because honestly I love character design it's so much fun and the most art i did for anyone was Bunbunsophy who I attacked 8 times :3

Overall I managed 55 attacks by trying to do two drawings a day.

˖Ი𐑼⋆ 2026 ArtFight is wrapping up! I know there's still another day with the extension but I do not intend to attack any further this season as I've hit some burnout!! This year was absolutely INCREDIBLEEEE, I had an amazing time, with my longest revenge chain to date (7)!!!! I may not have hit a new PB, but I feel comfortable and proud of the 28 attacks I got done this year.

If sburb never happened Dave's first car would have been some shit box old truck ENTIRELY so he could make a joke about forgetting his keys in the locked vehicle and go 'oh well anyway' and pull the window down with his hand to lean in and get the keys because the window mechanism doesn't work anymore.

This is sort of based in how animals with horns use them, bugs especially, but I like to imagine that early on when trolls had a like caveman sort of stage they would use their horns like antlers or how some beetles do to fight and that being how they showed status, after the hemospectrum was established though the higher up you were the more prestine and well taken care of your horns looked, while lower castes occasionally still use theirs to tussle in a sense, though mostly as play fighting among wrigglers.

ALSO, tho this is based on birds, grubs using their horns to help in the process of hatching and so all hors start out a single color as it's the hardest point and the color turns into its natural gradient hours after hatching. I love biology sm

I headcanon that while he's never admit it, Dave enjoys Johnny Cash songs and general old country music (like from the 60s n such). Bros from Texas, I refuse to believe he hasn't encountered country music

This headcanon is mostly inspired by pesterquest and could be how you're supposed to interpret karkat but idk, anyway I feel like, since he couldn't go outside and such, he learned social cues and whatever else from the media he consumed (prior to meeting his friends anyway) so he very much tends to think of things in terms of how movie or sitcom plotlines are set up and a lot of his more controlling tendencies could just be from him setting planning ahead of events in a way that makes sense when viewed from the lense of a movie or tv show. Similarly he projects sitcom or movie tropes onto people based on their first interactions. Anyway that's my headcanon :3

Little guys made by having my friends pick some colors, except for Bambii, I used a random color picker for her. Not a lot of lore for them though, I just like to draw them occasionally for the most part.
