Such a bad idea

I went to Petsmart to pick up Loki's food. When I walked by the dog daycare, I noticed two dogs playing tug of war. THEY HAVE TOYS IN DOG DAYCARE!!! Jesus. I'd never leave Loki there for a variety of other reasons, but giving toys to large groups of unfamiliar dogs seems like a recipe for trouble.

Went mountain biking for the first time today. Loki did well although he actually tried to bite the tires. Guess there's some herding instinct in there after all. It's a good thing he has a "run forward" command because it helped quite a bit. I'm sure we'll have to refresh the lesson a couple of times but that's to be expected. I had a blast. It was more physically taxing than I had expected, but I felt like such a badass going over all those tree roots.

This is what it took to get my dog to eat today. He did not do well at boarding. He got so stressed out he wouldn't eat, and when I got him to eat a little it all came back up. He came home from boarding super stressed out, had no appetite, was lethargic, had horrible diarrhea, and an eye infection. So two nights of boarding basically set me back $640. But the peace of mind when he finally ate some boiled hamburger and rice is worth every penny.

Considering pet insurance for Delta. Any experiences or recommendations?

I have trupanion and love it. My vet works directly with them so they can preauth whatever treatment we're doing and I never have to file a claim. Their reps ate super nice and always respond quickly to any questions. I've never had issues with them paying for claims.

Person: I just get so angry sometimes because he knows what he did wrong! Look, he looks guilty! He makes that guilty face every time!

Me: *slowly counts to ten* Dogs are incapable of feeling guilt please pick up an actual animal behavior book just once.

Look, I take no issue with hunting or trapping, but if you are incapable of fully identifying what you’re aiming at before you shoot, you don’t need to be out in the woods with a gun. Two DOGS in REFLECTIVE VESTS.

I have a friend who’s weim was shot because he was mistaken for a coyote… The owner was walking on a paved road with the dog…

I had someone tell me he thought my dog was a coyote. I have a black and white border collie who was wearing a bright red vest at the time. I'm glad that person didn't have a gun.
