OK SO I have studied this topic in depth and I'm here to provide a guide!! For ALL the Ichigou and Nigou pairs!!!!!

1. Kamen Rider (1971)

Ichigou starts out VERY BLUE. His eye "lenses" are rather pink. His scarf is tied tight to his neck, with the collar of his jacket rising high on his neck to cover it. Notably, he has NO STRIPES of any kind. The "belt" part of his driver is white, and is worn over the bottom of the jacket.

When Nigou is introduced, he's differentiated by being VERY GREEN (though his gloves are still a bit blue at first, they are changed to green ones later), and having a stripe on his helmet and along only on the outside of his arms and legs (under his arm has no striping). For a few episodes the stripe actually has glitter in it, it's very cute. His eye lenses are MUCH more red. His belt has red fabric, and is again tied over the jacket.

When Ichigou is first re-introduced, he is also Very Green, but retains his original white belt, and has no stripes. In a few of the episodes his helmet changes color slightly, but it's always some shade of green. His eye lenses have changed to red.

Then, Ichigou gets his more major update: adding the double stripes, and changing the fabric of his belt to red, and his gloves and boots to silver. He notably becomes a much lighter green, and gets a stripe on his helmet just like Nigou. His suit jacket is more tight-fitting than before, but it's still a jacket layered over pants- the belt is tied to hide the seam between the pieces. Unlike Nigou, his stripes are also present on the underside of his arms, flowing seamlessly from his wrist to his sides to his ankles.

When Nigou returns, he also gets a light green helmet, and his gloves and boots are made red to differentiate him from Ichigou. His single stripe stays ONLY on the outside of his arm, and does not appear under his arm.

2. Kamen Rider The First and The Next (2005, 2007)

Ichigou in The First is also VERY BLUE! He has his pink eye lenses and white belt fabric back. Once again, his scarf is tied close to his neck (though he now has a very 'popped' jacket collar) and his belt is tied over his jacket. He has leather padding on his shoulders, and no stripes.

Nigou in The First has much less padding on his shoulders, and his suit has a much shorter jacket, with the red belt hiding the seam. His eyes are red, and his helmet has a white stripe. The helmet has black detailing on the inset "eyelines" they both share. Nigou's suit does have arm and leg stripes, they're just a dark green instead of the usual white.

Notably, Nigou has the "dagger and eagle" shocker insignia on both his back and the backs of his gloves. His stripes are also present on the underside of his arms and his sides, a first for Nigou designs.

In The Next, Nigou stays much the same. However, his suit it noticeably aged, with the insignias only barely visible in most shots. His scarf is a much darker shade of red than in The First as well.

Ichigou takes on a much deeper green in The Next. He retains padded shoulders and his white belt, but his eye lenses turn red and he gains double-stripes on his arms, legs, and sides- they're just a deep green that's not always easy to see.

3. Shin Kamen Rider (2023)

Ichigou in Shin Kamen Rider is once again Very Blue. His eye lenses are pink, and his belt is white. His scarf is tied over the collar of his jacket, not against his throat.

Ichigou's overcoat is VERY fuzzy and velvety, and his has a triangular insignia on the back of his helmet. Ichigou has the same insignia, but it's contained within the white stripe on his helmet.

Nigou is green, with matte white stripes on the outside of his arms and legs. His eye lenses and his belt are both red. His overcoat is a smoother weave, not fuzzy.

Anyway, I hope this guide is helpful to anyone who wants to be able to distinguish between Ichigou and Nigou at a glance!!

Kamen Rider 2+1 is a lighter, minty green. They keep the red lenses and white helmet stripe, and gain double-striping on their arms and legs. Notably, the double-stripes are only on the outside of their arms, and do not extend to their sides. Their gloves and boots are a dark green, and their belt is red.
