Mr Hubble, Lady Mir and all the other household non-reptile animals are doing well. Mir is fussy about eating but we’re working on it. Mr Hubble has grown so big recently. Happy new year!

Hello! I came across your blog browsing. Just wanted to say I’m in the same boat, I have a year old crestie who is barely the size of my thumb. I’m worried about the little one, planning to see a vet soon.

I hope the vet can put your mind at ease! I know I felt better once I’d spoke to the breeder. Some creatures just grow slow so I hope yours is the same and there’s nothing underlying.

I spoke to Mr Hubble’s breeder this week because I was scared he grows so slowly but she reassured me he’s fine. Part of why it’s important to get your pet friends from reputable places is the fact they can offer reliable support and advice. Aftercare. You think a big box pet store would know their animals so well? She told me about how his parents grew slowly in winter months and their weights at different ages. She made me feel much better.

If he’s a small and slow grower so be it! He’s cute at every size. I’d like him to grow big and strong - but at his own pace, and right now he’s doing his own thing!

Mr Hubble came to us at Doncaster Reptile Show this weekend Nov 4th and was bred by The Rhac-Shack (https://m.facebook.com/rhacshack/) They’ve just messaged me his hatch date as it wasn’t to hand on the show day, so now we can celebrate his birthday come next year!
