bags are packed. let’s head home.
some shots from the dvo museum.
the side quest i never knew i would end up on — this café was way too secluded to the point where i ended up getting lost. good thing their uji matcha was worth getting lost to
packing after a trip will always be a bittersweet moment — overloaded baggage, questionable mindful spendings, a bag full of pasalubongs, an almost filled up laundry bag, drained camera batteries, and gazillion accumulated outtakes & photographs. despite it all, i still loved every moment except being in three airports in a day (quite the exhaustion).
yesterday’s sunset walk — i stopped by to get this footage after seeing three kids playing with their kites. enjoying an afternoon breeze with nothing to care about the future ahead of them. oh how nice it is to be a kid again without the bothersome adulting life.
ps: appreciate your younger years kids!
exactly a week from today, i’ll fly to mindanao for a work travel. i always love how my profession allows me to explore the cities i've never been to. funny how this is already a long over due post; it has been sitting in my drafts, hence, a week prior update left. i’m usually the type who plans her outfits weeks before the trip. from my everyday jewelry stack to my clothing wears — i have a list for the specific places and events planned. exhausting right? but i’m comfortable this way. my luggage is already well packed. the only thing missing are my skincare stuff. i’m so so excited for this one, despite my flight changes which is a total bummer. initially, my lay-over would be in cebu but got changed to manila instead. anyway, regardless of the changes, this is a good opportunity to visit restaus and stores i’ve been meaning to visit near naia. i just hope i don’t splurge tho. also, i purchased a new book to accompany me through my roundtrip connecting flights.
decided to stay unplugged for a few days and relish what life has in store for me — constantly grateful for the quiet life i built.
i literally have two consecutive weeks of leisure at work since i have no workload left — digital journaling to kill time.
normal day with extra challenges. it's been mentally and physically draining. i feel exhausted halfway through the week but then, i am so happy to accomplish all my workload with some delivery reward.
finding great people in your work field is rare but these people hit different. it all started with a simple get together and eventually became a mandatory thing. i obviously suck at posting real time because i enjoy offline life way too much. now, this is a quarterly catch-up to leave behind our court duties and find some ladies’ time to ourselves. It’s nice how we don’t revolve on gossips but rather on oversharing each other’s life journeys and at the same time, discovering restaurants and cafes in our city.
i've been reading a lot. no, not books but on a platform called substack. i love how i'm gaining insights from different intellectual perspectives. i find this beneficial in gauging my way during my late twenties — grasping what resonates and reflecting on what had occurred. this was my current read written by Teodoraa of Perfume & Letters.
documented my typical routine after a court hearing duty last thursday. the dominant hand was unresponsive from an almost three hours straight court hearing. transcribing shorthand notes can often times be the most tedious part of my work but i. love. my. job. also, i noticed after editing these footages, i realized how i always start my day with writing down a to-do list in order for an entire day to be smooth sailing. funny how that's a daily habit i've consistently committed to.
i had an early call time this morning — arrived 7am at my workplace, enjoyed an avocado toast/sandwich which i prepared at dawn (devoured it instantly, hence, the last bite sandwich pic lol), ordered a to-go hot matcha latte, prepped my workload for the day, and off to a good tuesday.
it’s been two consistent weeks of showing up to my afternoon walks. i’ve collected countless photographs of scenic routes, sunsets, and pastel skies. however, with the recent inflation, i’ve decided to do my walks at home for the meantime.
been pondering on whether or not to enroll on a flower bouquet workshop. i mean i badly want to try it out, but the unknown gets the better in me. i guess not right now? perhaps soon?
i got a whole week of no workload so i brought the camera at work today to leisurely explore its diverse functions (such a noob move lol). here’s a sneak peek of an area in my work corner captured by yours truly.
yet again, i forgot i have this little corner of mine and enjoyed way too much away from my socials. perhaps this would be a reminder to continue to post moments i have accumulated. also, i bought a digital camera last year but i’m still learning the curves and discovered that i enjoy having people and nature as my subject.
